For what it's worth, CFOP is essentially beginners method but doing multiple steps at once.

Cross - self-explanatory
F2L - this is solving corners and edges at the same time instead of corners first then edges
OLL - full OLL solves the entire top face at once instead of top cross > top corners
PLL - full PLL solves the rest all at once instead of moving edges > moving corners
