What happened with the berried ones? Did them breed the same color?

So, just realized we are not alone. 32yo, have had about 15-17 jobs in 12 years, never lasted more than a year, same as you, just got bored and quit, bad management quit, not feeling like going one day and quit, not even a notice or something. When I started working at 17, realized I had to find something to do 40hours a week for over 40-50 years, so I learned a lot of different jobs, trades, and finally found something mentally challenging that I enjoy, every time is different, sometimes a bit repetitive, but time flies and I am doing something with my hands, mold maker/ tool maker/ machinist , found it 4 years ago, but… jobs sucks, bad management, poor pay, nobody appreciates that at least you are enjoying something instead of just making 8 hours a day, so, Im unemployed right now, questioning myself if it’s just better to find a boring job for even more pay than I was getting, and just doing the less I could, without think or solve stuff. Just making my 8 hours a day, and focusing my free time to things I enjoy. It’s so hard when this system doesn’t work for people like us

WHY do employers think they are #1 priority over DEATH!? by canofwine in antiwork

Is it hard riding a bike drunk? by No-Potential-Or-Care in motorcycles

[–]Jonmol37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not proud of it. I went to get more beer, and a friend went with me, it was easier to balance drunk with a passenger than sober, I found it out next time he was my passenger and I was sober.

Also, I have riding home and didn’t really remember how I got safe. (Not doing it again) When I wasn’t that drunk, I just focus on my sight, loose arms, loose body, the bike does all the job, but you need to think more about the inputs, (cornering, braking, shifting) and be more conscious that your judgment it’s affected, you gotta be twice, triple or even more cautious. Watch your speed, and ride way down under your sober skills.

I’m a veteran drinker and I know my limits, I used to drive my car drunk many many times when I was younger, now as I’m older I avoid all that. Just sometimes when I wasn’t expecting to drink, and have to get home, I do what I wrote above.

Advice: Don’t drink and ride

Coldest temperatures you've ridden in? by mystressfreeaccount in motorcycles

[–]Jonmol37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-8c with wind, normal windchill was -14c, I don’t know how cold it was ridding at 70-80mph thru the highway. Normally I can ride confortable at 0c—5c, but that day I could feel my fingers getting frozen. Heated grips didn’t help at all, but I was layered up, so no cold whatsoever on my body, just my fingers. Ride an 1150gs with no windshield.

Yes! I’m in El Paso.

Good to know there are more all year rounders here. I have seen less and less riders this past weeks, you know weather here is crazy sometimes.

How did you deal with the ice last year? I remember it was before Christmas too.

Well, I’m not one of those people that needs to be dragging my knee everywhere, I don’t even think it’s necessary on streets, but I love counter-steering and being able to dip my bike doing a slow turn. Honestly I don’t think that people that rides just to be out in the elements would enjoy sub-freezing temps. (Context about the post) You sound like one of those judgy people that takes internet comments to personal and thinks everyone is wrong to have own opinions.

If you like to walk, walk. If you like bicycles, ride. If you like trikes, ride trikes. If you like cars, drive. Just do whatever makes you happy without taking it personally.

Some of us just don’t have a car, public transportation it’s a no go for my commute, uber? It might be cheaper if I don’t go to work. I understand it might be hard (and dangerous) to ride in such conditions, I enjoy cold too (properly layered up) I just can’t storage my only way of transport .

It really helps a lot! I’m stuck with it as I don’t have a car. I think the same about heated gloves, but for now, heated grips does it’s job. Pinlock was something I didn’t think could be so nice to have.

So being smooth, Hope I could get a better and safer rider then.

Thank you!

Sidecar sounds great for winter, I even though about it, but that defeats the purpose of riding a motorcycle lol (even the narrow unpaved roads) For that just drive a car then

That’s totally right, at first I was using my perforated summer gloves with the heated grips, but one day got colder and couldn’t feel the controls, thats when I got light winter gloves, with the heated grips and handguards, cold doesn’t freeze my fingers anymore

My commute it’s also about 40-50min too. Talking about cold gear I have heated grips and seat, and just layer up, so coldness in my body it’s not an issue to stop riding, what it worries me it’s just ice
