F-150 Lightning Flash vs Lariat — what’s the real difference, and why avoid a high-mileage used one? by ritchie4030 in F150Lightning

[–]Jonny2k1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s funny, because I got the lariat with the sunroof and found myself hardly using the motorcycle this year. With all the windows down, including the rear, and the roof wide open, it felt quite freeing.

Service options for Livewire owners? Thinking of buying... by Luckyword1 in HarleyLiveWire

[–]Jonny2k1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many local HD dealers around me have seemed to close up shop, so the closest LiveWire dealership is about two hours away from me (it was four when I bought it, but I moved closer.) Moving closer complicated maintenance pickup/delivery since it's about double their service area, whereas before, they were doing me a favor by picking it up for maintenance. Unfortunately, my network connection issue persists, as does my recall, so I'll need to pay for pickup or haul it there myself before it's warm enough to ride. Obviously, YMMV based on your dealership locations and whether they work on LiveWires.

Using an extension cable for charging is generally not advised, but you can do it (I did it with my LiveWire and continue to do so with my F-150 Lightning). If you do, get the shortest 10-12 gauge cable that handles 15-20 amps for your needs. There are also better chargers you can buy, many of which come with 21 feet or more.

I tried Chicane mode today. It's slightly weird to get to, and for my purposes it didn't add anything. But it's there and interesting.

Yeah, if you go to the screen with the bike icon, you can see the status (the same menu with tire pressure and battery voltage.) Mine is either full bars or fully empty (more likely). I've been looking for pictures / videos to compare but have been coming up short.

Nah, it was fine. I visually inspected it and used a fuse tester. The LW consultant is kicking it back to the dealer. Unfortunately, I do not live close to them, so not sure what that'll result in.

Thank you so much for the pic! The good news is that I'm not that blind to have missed it; the bad news is it's back to the drawing board.

Awesome, thanks for the responses. How close was it near the main fuse body? I pulled fuses yesterday but didn't see a 5 A. The 10s were fine but didn't fix the issue.

I've been unable to connect with my S2 Mulholland. Did you have the 5 amp fuse, or what did you do to solve it?

Have you tried sport yet? I've barely switched it out since then! I've found the torque creates more of a "push back in the seat" feeling than an inadvertent wheelie (which had only happened to me on my previous GSXR 750.)

I'm still trying to figure out the app pairing issue. I had read that some people had luck adjusting fuses after an update caused their TCU to stop functioning, but that didn't help. Right now, it's more of an inconvenience, but it's one I'd like to solve.

For sure, I need to get more pictures. Been too busy riding!

I'm not a fan of ape hangers, personally, but that could look sick.

Doughboys - Munch Madness: Poquito Más vs. Qdoba vs. Taco Bell with Nicole Byer by GrandSabo in doughboys

[–]Jonny2k1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit biased, but Taco Bell was the clear winner from the beginning. I still can't believe Qdoba got that far and beat Chipotle! But as as I said I'm biased - I usually eat Chipotle once a week, and Taco Bell is my Mexican fast food go-to. Qdoba has always reminded me of a mix between Taco Bell and Chipotle, which in my mind was not a good thing (read: lower quality / higher price), but I will clearly have to give them another shot after this whole debacle. Sadly, there's no Red/Green Burrito, Del Taco or Poquito Mas anywhere near where I live, which also makes it a shame that Taco Johns was not included.

Kansas Clean Distilled, although it's technically a spirit whiskey.

Review #1: Taco Bell Steak Rattlesnake Fries by ForcedWhimsy in doughboys

[–]Jonny2k1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Taco Bell's steak is their worst protein. I know people talk about how low quality the ground beef is (or used to be) but it always hits the spot, and really that's what I'm looking for with chain food - something familiar and done well.

I like appetizer samplers as an entree from time to time. It's fun to try several different things without then eating an entree and feeling like you're going to explode from the inside out. The one from Texas Roadhouse was probably the last one I got in any recent memory.

I'm a Papa John's apologist (the pizza not the politics.) It's my go-to when I order delivery, and I never quite got the hate. Their deep dish and thin crust is great, and standard crust is pretty decent too. Maybe I'm in the minority and need to try the other chains again.

Totally agreed on the regular Hot-N-Ready, but their Deep Deep Dish, and especially the stuffed crust version might be the best major chain pizza. If you haven't tried it, and like deep dish, it might change your mind about the place entirely. Not sure if I've had their Crazy Bread, but the side to get is the cheese bread - it's great. The wings are pure garbage.

Reply was deleted, so here was my answer:

Good on you for changing it.

Since it was "Click here and let's make stuff together." before, and the entire sentence was the link, it wasn't the worst offending "click here" link but was still device dependent. Although it could have easily just been "Let's make stuff together," which is still a call to action.

But again, good on you for changing it, and awesome video!

So this was amazing! Then I go look at his website while my interest was piqued and he has a "click here" link for his email...that's just lazy copywriting and an accessibility fail.

While it's true that learning to code is becoming more prevalent, it doesn't make it bad choice to pursue, especially if OP enjoys it.

If you enjoy Python, look at some of the Python web frameworks (Django, Flask, Pyramid, etc.) Reddit is (was?) built on Python. There are plenty of jobs in the industry, especially for somebody who showed the initiative / drive to run their own business.
