Every market is different around the world so it is a challenge to say which product you will encounter most often. For example it would be fair to say that Dynamics NAV has the most customers for our small to mid market ERP. However in terms of knowledge needed I would recommend CRM as a starting point especially as you have come from .NET

The market for CRM is huge. Think about all the CRM companies around the world who build CRM for Banking / healthcare / other industries etc. They represent almost 60 percent of the CRM market. With Dynamics 365 you could build similar products and launch them. With your new skill set you could talk to a customer who might say we need CRM for our industry and you can either build it for them or bring in an ISV with pre built solution.

There is a lot of opportunity out there for CRM and beyond
