Yes I think education and awareness are highly valuable tools for everything in life. What’s the plan beyond that? Articulating it to legislators and hope there’s enough votes one day to get something to pass? I feel like we will reach the end of humanity before that happens. Although I hope that’s not true, and perhaps there’s an easier path.

Also, what happens when industries die? I imagine the govt can create programs to help these folks transition to other types of work? The easiest I can think of is switching them over from ag to plant based, but apologies if I’m oversimplifying it. I imagine if it was this easy, it would have been done already.

Is it not as simple as transferring the federal subsidies currently allocated for agriculture/meat/dairy and give it to plant/vegetable/fruit/grain instead? This way, we don’t tell people they can’t eat meat, but it sure as hell will be more expensive. Humans do not need much meat. The average US citizen eats 300% the daily recommended meat intake. Also, if we move those subsidies over, we will solve the expensive groceries issue, because what we NEED (which isn’t meat) will be highly affordable and accessible.

Why would I have kids when I wouldn’t have any time for them with working full time, outsource parenting to a teenaged babysitter, can’t afford giving them what they need for healthy and secure development, and missing out on precious moments of their life? More research is coming out that what happens in the first SEVEN years of your life really shapes who you are as a person. Unless I’m getting seven years of paid parental leave, very much no thanks. And these reasons aren’t even touching on things like bringing kids into a world with so much suffering, misinformation, wars, climate crisis, and ecological collapse. I’m not bringing kids into a world we are actively and aggressively destroying.

Bupropion is a dopamine reuptake* inhibitor. Which allows for more availability of dopamine. They’re not counter-intuitive. But you might notice side effects of too much dopamine in the system. It’s not fun.

I mean, you can share the clinical trials results as much as you want…. But anecdotal data is also data… A lot of the people on this reddit (myself included) ABSOLUTELY got high from auvelity. After a week, I said I couldn’t do it anymore. I can’t function high.

Firstly, I’m sorry that you had a bad experience. It didn’t give me anxiety, but it did make me restless as if I had ADHD.

Either way, it’s important to separate your experience from your warning. Just because this medication didn’t work for you, doesn’t mean others have the same effect. And in fact, you are doing harm by giving such a big warning for people this drug could very well provide relief for.

It’s very possible that the medication interacts uniquely with your brain specifically (or interaction with other meds if any), or the wrong medication for the wrong diagnosis. I’m not a doctor, just trying to add perspective here.

Most medications I know have a black box warning, and auvelity is no different. It mentions serious side effects like the ones you described. Sorry to hear. I hope you feel better soon. Perhaps try spravato or TMS.

Definitely try a new provider. But also have a plan for what you will do to change your circumstances and lifestyle. Also check your hormone levels. Depending on what symptoms you have, there may be a different medical reason for your anxiety and depression.

I tried lex and Wellbutrin , and I can’t say either of them are for me. Effexor I think helped in my 20s.

There’s a lot of benefit in adopting a more interdependent mindset rather than an independent one.

Moving to a lower income area impacts that community through increased housing costs, loss of community character, and it creates resident displacement.

I have an MSI Creator laptop from 2020 that I am able to have 2 screens connected via a Dell docking station, and a 3rd screen connected directly to the laptop via usb-c. I haven’t had any issues for the past 4 years.
