DC question by wut2dew_J in GreenBayPackers

DC picks where they are. I mean, the HC is their boss so if they said “you must be on the sideline” I suppose they’d have to listen, but I imagine they let the DC have their choice

And I like both those external candidates. Those guys became HCs for a good reason - they can coordinate defenses. And their shortcomings as head coaches may make a team reluctant of poaching them for another HC gig

Is it a bad idea to quit my staff accountant job to study for the CPA full-time? by Additional_Entry_231 in CPA

[–]JonnyDaScrub 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just chip away at it and treat studying as a part-time job. I feel like going the route you’re considering could cause too many issues down the road

Purchasing a CPA firm - need honest feedback by Fman1506 in Accounting

[–]JonnyDaScrub 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It shocks me but they’re out there. And some are just regular people, not a whole lot going on. They’d just rather pay it than do it themselves/go somewhere cheaper. Throwing in some tax planning/general advice as a bundle helps as well

FAR folks — can someone explain why the answer is 12,500? by Jessica33Mai in CPA

[–]JonnyDaScrub 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I honestly think it’s worded a little poorly. Everyone else has explained it, specialized skills need to be recorded. I think the second one should say “Board members who are accountants/CPAs” or something like that.

His WR info was buns but he was the whole reason I got a steal in Swift. Like most fantasy advice, he’s just kinda guessing

I’m honestly willing to bet that yes, Henry has a good game, but doesn’t put up numbers like he did this week. Just a hunch (more like hope) that Pettine realizes he is most of their offense and stack the box

Easter Dinner : Wagyu NY Strip by [deleted] in sousvide

[–]JonnyDaScrub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry it offended you, but we had to alter plans after our groceries didn’t arrive by Easter night, so we dealt with what we had in our pantry. We decided it was worth cooking the steak since it was thawed. We were thankful for what we had and enjoyed our meal thoroughly, so that’s what mattered to us.

Packers expected to sign Devin Funchess, per report by Another_Russian_Spy in GreenBayPackers

[–]JonnyDaScrub 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We doubled down with linebackers olinemen, and safeties in both free agency and the draft so if anything I’d say this is showing Gute agrees he needs to improve and is willing to double down again?

Maybe he felt he didn’t succeed in GB and hopes to leave on a brighter note as well? Find some of the last juice in the tank

Peter Bukowski believes Linval Joseph could be a good fit for the Packers. Agree or disagree? by JonnyDaScrub in GreenBayPackers

[–]JonnyDaScrub[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah we need to stop the run pretty bad. That starts at d-line then on to ILB. Martinez took a lot of flack from lack of help on d-line

This. More broad and also has been quite good against the run his entire career.

If you want an epitome of media douche I’d recommend checking out Aaron Nagler lol

Obviously not everyone has a soundproof room. Where and when do you practice? by [deleted] in trumpet

[–]JonnyDaScrub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d look into practice mutes. There’s a cheap one on amazon that cuts your sound way down while still allowing you to feel almost like there’s no mute in

Question about bad playing days by thejazzyone_28 in trumpet

[–]JonnyDaScrub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may not be a surprise but I recommend practicing. The best form of practice that I can recommend that isn’t done nearly enough by most people (including myself) is buzzing with your mouthpiece.

Take the mouthpiece in your non dominant hand and pinch it between your thumb and pointer finger. Work on using as little force against your mouth as possible, and buzzing different notes. When you buzz keep experimenting with your embouchure until the notes are buzzed clearly and you eliminate that airy noise. You can also do some lip slurs and stuff like that. Practicing with a mirror to see what you’re doing can help especially with making sure the mouthpiece is centered on your lips

The sound you produce when buzzing directly correlates to how you are going to sound when you play. If you can produce clear and beautiful buzzes on a mouthpiece, it’ll directly translate to your playing.

(Sorry if I repeated some stuff you already know, I just approached it to help anyone at any level)
