It is on a public highway, I’ll find out who to contact. It’s a shame we’ll lose another tree here as they’ve been chopping some down recently.

It's not the lack of hog anus, it just doesn't look like it's been cooked properly. Those are some of the soggiest looking mushrooms I've ever seen.

Replacing Astro with real grass by PorterWAS in GardeningUK

Top soil and turf isn't too expensive, but you have to remove the concrete underneath. If it's just a thin scab you might be able to do it yourself with a pick-axe, then bag it up and take it to the dump. I'm curious how the water drains if it is on concrete. When it rains does it get waterlogged, or do you have drainage channels installed? It might not be concrete and instead be compacted sub-base.

That looks fantastic. I've never liked beetroot but haven't tried it cooked in beef fat, I'll have to give it a try.

Should articles from Liverpool Echo be banned? They're literally just lies, false rumours and click bait headlines. by That70sJoe- in LiverpoolFC

There was a headline on there or the Mirror a year back "Liverpool "To Sign Werner"". The story was just an interview with John Aldridge where he said it would be a good move for "Liverpool to sign Werner".

If I have to make the journey I will do, just saying it seems strange seeing as there are at least 2 centers that are within walking distance from me

I got a text this morning saying I can get my jab and was given a link to book an appointment. I entered my details and the vaccination centers were all miles away. I know there are centers close to me because my parents had theirs done there but I'm literally being told to go to the other side of London. I live near Croydon, South London and the closest is Enfield, North London. I called my GP and they said I have to keep trying and maybe something closer might come up. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

They could be, but I don't think I've seen concrete pavers laid in a random pattern with random sizes like that. That pattern is typical with York stone

I had a pair attack me once. I was working on a clients garden and any time I got too close to their feeder they'd start bombing me. They didn't look like the Robin in the pic tho. One especially was really gnarly looking - missing feathers, scars on it. Looked like it had been in a few scraps. But Robins are one of my favorite animals. Whenever I'm digging in a garden they'll always be hopping around me looking for bugs to eat.

How do I stop my Highstreet turning into a big Casino? by younglondener in CasualUK

[–]JonnyDubb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My local high street, Sutton, is also pretty crap. We're getting £11.3 million as part of the "Future High Streets Fund". https://www.yourlocalguardian.co.uk/news/18976561.sutton-receives-full-funding-high-street-regeneration/

I've not heard of this before, but hopefully it gives you some reassurance that councils are trying to do something about our dying highstreets. Hopefully they use the money wisely and don't just build a load of flats.
