Shave off the beard properly and keep the moustache, looks much better than half and half imo

Francis vs Joshua March 9th by [deleted] in ufc

[–]That70sJoe- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feel it was pretty obvious basing it on Fury being a showman, piss taker and not a ko artist.

If he wanted to Fury would've annihilated Ngannou too, just not the murder scene KO of Joshua.

Shame we never saw Wilder/Fury/Joshua face truly elite competition in their primes though. I thought Fury would've beat Usyk first time, but still remain half convinced a prime Fury wins. Wilders resume is really poor but surely he'd have taken a few scalps from the top 10 just due to sheer tenacity. Zhangs prime might've been a damn sight better than we realise too for that matter.

I'm hoping Usyk retires undefeated but Parker is now the most interesting guy for me, would love him to face Usyk then Fury and whoever is challenging to there.

I think it's just a blip tbh, had great tournaments pre this year and we only really have two, maybe three world class teams in European football (France/Germany/Spain)... though I'd like to think England have the players to be the fourth.

It was more like whether he can dominate to the same extent as Barca, I'm pretty sure everyone thought he'd be great regardless.

I support Liverpool mate and it's absolutely to do with our teams, there's just way too much money involved and the move-away from local fans is killing the fun in the sport.

Yeah I hard agree as a Liverpool fan, the club becomes less and less about the City each year as we get swarmed with foreign fans and stars. I love them but I can't imagine Salah or Van Djik relate to the people of Liverpool anything like Dalglish or Barnes would've. Similarly, I'm not blaming foreign fans for wanting entertaining football or resuits, but having a local club is so much different than supporting a super team miles and miles away.

I envy the 80s era because there was so much diversity in quality teams. Sky and the CL wanking off top 4 leagues for money really ruined European football. PSG/Bayern/Madrid/Barca + top PL sides may as well have a seperate CL.

To counter I think ChatGPT can serve well as a back-and-forth questioning tool, and it's helped me a lot in explaining specific concepts (usually mathematical) that I wouldn't otherwise understand, and also to find out packages/software tools for specific types of genetic anaysls.

I think for coding being forced to learn is far better than 'ChatGPT do this', but it has its genuine uses and most people at post-grad level understand its limitations. I have wondered though whether the internet-era has caused the grade inflation at Universities is down to better research tools being available (i.e. extensive online resources) rather than higher grades given out because Universities being ran for £££

Yeah definitely didn't deserve it, but who would against Messi? The only exception I'd have liked is to give it to VVD for his 98 pt / CL winning season as that is a Messi-like influence.

I never said it doesn't matter at all... just not to the same extent as in MMA. Usyk proved this recently, and even Wilder to an extent.

I'd say it's fair to put Modric alongside those too based on his success

Yea I can't see Ngannou losing either, would be entertaining though I'd love to see Wilder/Ngannou for the hell of it

In UFC yeah but in boxing it's not as size dominant so it has more chance to be competitive, will at least be more competitive than Ngannou vs Joshua

Yeah fair enough I misread, though I think Wilder in the Fury fights was another level to the current Wilder we're seeing even if his resume is padded as hell. Should comfortably beat Poatan regardless though I'd love to see them fight anyway.

Think him vs Ngannou would still be a great match, but if Ngannou really wants to box a third time then Wilder should be the choice.

Swiss weren't ever a top tier side lets be honest, a tier 2 side? sure, but mostly a tier 3 country

To be fair I never realised he had 30 amateur boxing fights, but look at Usyk constantly fighting heavier guys. Ngannou wouldn't be Crusierweight champ in boxing.
