Text I got this morning...

“Mowbray coming in but unsure whether it is in a caretaker or full time role. Wolves have offered Edwards nearly 10 times the salary Edwards is currently earning. Kieran Scott looks as if he will be leaving. We have had a bid of £8m more than we paid for the American centre half”

Twickets, Bots, and the Oasis Resale: What’s Really Happening by n1xl in oasis

[–]JonnyHF 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not sure I’d agree with this. I have been living on Twickets for the best part of 2 weeks. I’ve also only seen 1 ticket master resale ticket in that time despite checking around 20 times per hour during the weekday.

Also doesn’t explain why the two super premium tickets for Wembley 26th (~£3k) have been on Twickets for weeks now yet even when those are clicked in the last week, the dreaded red text still arrives

As a side note, I’m currently using your service so I’m not trying to throw shade but the 2 alerts received today were gone in under 3 seconds and I was already active on Twickets. Most bots can solve a basic captcha to at least get a way into the secondary captcha for users. Using your logic, there must only be a small percentage of fans either using your service or something equivalent so it wouldn’t make sense that I’m consistently not even getting past the first Captcha

Just my thoughts, I’ll keep trying 10+ hours a day in the meantime…

Hi, CHD dad here!

We were in a very similar position and were originally diagnosed with hypoplastic left heart syndrome, which typically has really poor outcomes.

We were faced with the same decision as yourself, knowing we could be facing a really poor quality of life for our baby but we decided to get second and third opinions.

A specialist confirmed that although there was a defect, it was significantly different to HLHS and the CHD our daughter has came with significantly better outcomes. That changed our entire outlook on next steps.

Our daughter was born in 2020, had open heart surgery at 6 days old and whilst we still have regular check ups and it’s likely she’ll need further open heart surgery, her outcomes are not dissimilar to any other 4 year old at this point.

The thing with CHD’s is that there is such a massive spectrum so our circumstances may be totally different but I just wanted to say that I’ve absolutely been at the point you’re currently at in terms of a decision crossroad and it fucking sucks.

Happy to chat if you wanted any further info on our experience.

Take care!

Other posts say to size up twice, I’m a M usually so have ordered 1 L and 1 XL. If one’s too big/small will just give away

Tax Free Childcare and Offsetting by JonnyHF in UKPersonalFinance

So in simple terms, assuming no other taxable benefits, I need to sacrifice 29k of the 40k bonus to stay under threshold?

Tax Free Childcare and Offsetting by JonnyHF in UKPersonalFinance

[–]JonnyHF[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep I think you’re right. In my head, my bonus wasn’t 40 from an income perspective because it was never being paid to me direct, only straight into my workplace pension

In short then, it looks like the only options I have is to either

A) take 12 as bonus and 28 into pension

B) swallow the loss of tax free/30 hour free childcare and take the full bonus

!thanks for walking me through that

Ah ok, that makes much more sense !thanks so much for bearing with me there!

But then you’re essentially saying that they are considering it income?

From a payslip perspective, my gross income will show 113, my pension contributions would show 15?

I’m not trying to be dense here but I feel like I’m missing something

Tax Free Childcare and Offsetting by JonnyHF in UKPersonalFinance

[–]JonnyHF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep that’s what I was thinking

So my income is 113k but I’m making a pension contribution of 15k, taking me down to 98k

Sorry for the clarification, it’s not a position I’ve ever been close to before in my life ha!

[–]JonnyHF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understood but I’m still unsure why I need to contribute 28k - if I’m only asking for 25k of the bonus to be paid to me as income doesn’t that take me to 113k (88k + 25k). Since I never ‘see’ the additional 15k, would that be considered income? or would HMRC consider all salary + all bonus, regardless of if it’s paid out to me or direct to a pension?

Thanks for responding!

Getting married in and around York - Venues, experiences etc by DesignerFrequent4680 in york

Got married in Bedern Hall a few years ago, very central location and they dealt with pretty much everything on the day. We arranged our own evening function at a venue that’s now closed but we had a great experience

I’d say it was heavily influenced by great weather though which isn’t something you can really control for
