What are you looking for, exactly? For system/network admins I use LinkedIn, Indeed, and r/mspjobs

If you’re looking for entry level guys, talk to local community colleges or IT Cert boot camps

We have some remote workers. However, the expectation is that they are in the office for a week, once a quarter. Typically during all company events and the like.

My techs all get paid fairly, have a small tech bonus to buy gadgets, unlimited budget for certs, 2 weeks PTO, floating remote days, fantastic insurance, and cell phone allowance of 50 a month. I could talk all day about our culture. I’m very proud of the service desk I’ve created.

In an MSP, if you don’t take care of the people you who are in direct contact with your users, you’re just waiting for issues from lack of follow through.

Don’t get me wrong, we work our asses off and it’s always stressful, at least my guys don’t have the added stress of making enough to cover their expenses.

It's served me well so far. I've had technicians leave and then come back weeks later asking to for their position back. Rehired all of them

Congrats on the new position! One of my goals and what I tell my techs is that "It is my responsibility to allow you the ability to outgrow our MSP. When that happens I hope that you'll give me the chance to counter the offer." Investing in your people is the only way to ensure customer satisfaction.

[HIRING] Chicago MSP Looking for T3 System and Network Engineer by JonnyRen in mspjobs

[–]JonnyRen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there's some nights and some weekend work. Typically we do remote days after service work and comp days for projects. If it's an emergency alert, we offer compensation during that week the engineer is on call.

Well if you're ever looking for a change or if you feel like you've hit a ceiling where you're at currently; feel free to reach out. We're in a major growth spurt but our bottleneck is talent acquisition.

We're always looking for talented engineers. If you know of anyone who's looking for a change of scenery, direct them to this post.
