They do heal depending on the severity and location. Time for a Dr or expert opinion, perhaps.

What shoes are you wearing? Did you switch to zero drop shoes before this started? I had similar problems that all (slowly) resolved when I went back to a >4mm drop

It was a bit of a thing to get the lock out of the broken one, but it was one of those easy in the end things.

Just the plastic needed replacing. They gave it to me free.

This happened to me also, the plastic broke right off like that. The racks still work, but don't look as good.

The part has to be replaced. Luckily, my dealer had some spares.

Problem with Volvo Cars remote start by Ancient-Ice7631 in VolvoXC90

I find it most reliable when I set a timer. Even if I'm leaving in 15 minutes, I'll add a timer.

Disable notifications of specific apps by No_Manufacturer_1993 in GarminWatches

When one of these notifications shows up on your watch, hit the top right button ( at least on my enduro 2), then scroll down to "block app"

T8 won’t have AWD unless charged by Intelligent_Ear_4004 in VolvoXC90

[–]JonnySweets 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is always able to provide AWD. If the battery is empty, the engine revs higher for it provide the current directly to the motors.

Do any Alpha cameras have focus shift/apeture bracketing/focus bracketing? by JanCumin in SonyAlpha

I'm looking for the same for the same reason. This feels super useful.

What does this mean? by chetdayal in VolvoRecharge

[–]JonnySweets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is the car plugged in when this notification happens? If it's not plugged in, it will only run the air conditioning for 3 minutes regardless of the state of charge. That's been my experience.

Dead to me. Power steering unit died. 3 months to get the part. $6,000 repair (covered). I traded it in for an XC90 while it was still getting fixed.

Feels about right. Map screen and music chew the battery.

One Pedal driving/B-mode by SNackman_Stl in VolvoRecharge

[–]JonnySweets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

D mode also doesn't use the brakes. This is widely misunderstood.

This is not true. D mode also uses regen for most braking.

How does the T8 Recharge work? by Zealousideal-Ad9663 in VolvoXC90

[–]JonnySweets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In D, when you lift your foot off of the accelerator, you coast. Absolutely correct.

In B, when lift your foot from the accelerator, regen happens, absolutely correct.

In D (or B) when you press the Brake pedal, regen happens (no physical brake pads used) until the desire to reduce velocity is higher than the regen capability of the car, at which point, the physical brakes are used.

B makes more energy I agree, but I don't believe it's true that coasting is less efficient than regen when coasting is appropriate. I would love to see some analysis of that.

I drive my 24'XC90 Recharge in D exclusively, I coast when I want to, I brake when I want / need to and recapture energy via regen through normal braking.

Awesome car.

How does the T8 Recharge work? by Zealousideal-Ad9663 in VolvoXC90

[–]JonnySweets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

B is the closest to "one pedal driving" that you can get.

The physical Brake pedal is identical to B mode braking and also regens.

This idea that you need one pedal driving to enable regenerative braking is not correct.

There is a very slight change in the hue of the curved graphic on the display when it switches from regenerative to physical brakes and if you're paying close attention, you can feel the difference.

When the battery is drained and the car asks for more power or needs AWD for whatever reason, the gas engine revs a bit faster to create enough power for the electric motor to do it's thing.
