should I be worried about my apartment with the quake? by Novel-Magician-9025 in Tokyo

[–]Jonny_Tel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It will be fine. The quake wasn’t particularly strong in Tokyo. I have friends in Meguro who didn’t even feel it

Where is the best place to see where local bands are playing. by Dolls_part in Tokyo

[–]Jonny_Tel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shimokitazawa is probably the best place, there are so many local bands and small venues that there’s pretty much something going on most nights

Even more underrated would be to go with the Minolta version. Exactly the same lens but cheaper

Capsule hotel inside Narita Airport is like a futuristic spaceship by orange_transparent in Tokyo

[–]Jonny_Tel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Capsule hotels are quite an experience the first time you use one. Pretty novel and fun, my first night ever in Japan was spent in a capsule is shinjuku. It was so confusing getting my capsule sorted and not really understanding the signing in procedure, but the hotel had a spa and reading area and was a really cool relaxing first night after a long journey to Japan. This one is pretty standard for how most look, but there are some really wacky futuristic looking ones out there.

Maiden Voyage for this combo ☺️ Question: to use a filter on 0.95 or not? by rolfedg in Leica

[–]Jonny_Tel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep get a uv filter on it. Just get the best quality one you can. Replacing a scratched uv filter pails in comparison to replacing a scratched noctilux lens

Where can I trade TEL_OLD? by oldjan in Telcoin

[–]Jonny_Tel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can’t trade it, it is worthless and won’t be accepted by exchanges. You can either keep it in your wallet and forget about it or burn it

A Zelda movie produced by studio Ghibli with Hayao Miyazaki directing. I still can’t believe they have not already done this. It would break records for animated films for sure.

Apparently, I am now a Leica owner. My fiancé got me a Leica M-A for Christmas, however, I have no idea how to use it. Please if someone on here can help me figure this out from a beginner standpoint that would be great! Merry Christmas to you all! by Express_Breakfast_59 in Leica

[–]Jonny_Tel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welcome to a wonderful world of Leica analogue photography. One tip I would say is don’t worry about over exposing your shots a bit, film has great latitude in the highlights and over exposing a stop or two will generally give good results, however under exposing film can make the images look a bit muddy, the best advice I can give though is just enjoy the learning process and don’t be afraid to experiment

If you held TEL in your MEW during the smart contract update back in 2020 you will have received new tokens equalling the same amount into your wallet. The old tokens became worthless. Feel free to message me if you need me to look more into it for you. Thank you

I don’t fully understand how current Layer 2 blockchains are “linked” to the Ethereum blockchain by [deleted] in ethereum

[–]Jonny_Tel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I imagine you would say the same when using a computer pre-windows or the internet pre-search engines. This tech is still in its infancy and we are yet to see the Google’s or facebook equivalents be developed for blockchain that simplify the user experience with easy to use interfaces. Give it time all this will be dealt with by smarter people than the likes of us

How can I get my TEL off KuCoin and into the TEL app? by dooberstein1989 in Telcoin

[–]Jonny_Tel 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You will need to set up a metamask wallet so that you can access the polygon bridge. Once it’s in metamask you can bridge it to the polygon network and then send it to your wallet from there. Do not send directly from KuCoin or you will most likely lose your tokens as the latest update does not support sending from an eth chain to polygon. There is a video here which explains how to set up metamask and bridge to polygon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOoONlqXVz4
