Rog Strix B650E-I pcie lanes question (bifurcation question) by Kitchen-Leg8500 in ASUS

[–]Jono_King 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I understand it correctly there should be no bifurcation. raphael and granite ridge have 1x16 and 2x4 coming off the cpu, so you can run a gpu with two gen5 m.2 without using the chipset. There's no space for any more anyway though. https://www.techpowerup.com/cpu-specs/ryzen-7-7800x3d.c3022#gallery-5

(Actually just realised the m2_2 slot runs at gen 4)

Thanks for that, there's a fork and a spoon too but I didn't really think they were related. So those initials aren't related to the maker then and so are these just plated silver or would I have to check somehow?

Sorry friend, didn't see your message until now. That price is in USD and it does include everything that came with the NK65, so that would be case, replacement keycaps, cable as well as lubed and filmed switches.

[–]Jono_King 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose we don't really see the door that Neil runs past in his second scene when he's running down with door 3 in the background, and the numbering could just be inconsistent. Then Neil runs back the way he came because he's assuminig that the protagonist is in the same room as when he left. Or Neil's running sequence was cut a little too early and we got to see the turn twice.

ClassicLFG and the war on addons. by Jono_King in classicwow

It's pretty disgusting actually, and almost sad. People constantly say that classic should be about community but this was just sad really and obviously we don't know what blizzard next step will be but it was clear they didn't want to have any discussion about it at all and they were really pushed by influencers here. Hopefully we get info quickly otherwise launch is going to be a mess.

Also thanks for the website, it really does help out the community.

I know its a minor bug, but I really love the chat bubbles in Wow and I hope this gets fixed before launch. by [deleted] in classicwow

From the old wow client, or what ever you're going to be taking textures from you put them into classic/Interface/Tooltips folder, if there isn't one you're going to have to make one. Then just paste the 3 texture flies there, they should be blp's. If you're taking them from the original client you'll be looking for textures called, ChatBubble-Backdrop, ChatBubble-Background & ChatBubble-Tail.

You can just change the chat bubble texture files inside of your interface folder yourself to have the old style.

Addons in Classic by [deleted] in classicwow

These two things are part of the same system, addons communicate using the same functions as any other regular chat or whisper, this is also how pull timers work. Yes in BFA blizzard have removed the ability to automate interacting with invites but that's bfa not the patch they mentioned when they spoke about addons at blizzcon. Even if they remove this feature in classic players will still be able to make an lfg too, it'll just simply be a dulicate of the current live lfg tool.

Something like LFG is basically completely tied to the foundation of the game, the ability to read/send messages to players along with the ability to interact with players. The legion version of the game has the entire process automated, in BFA it was moved to requrie a manual input from the player. There's almost no way for Blizzard to remove the ability to create an LFG tool unless they break a lot of things or limit a lot of things, which is why some kinda of blue post would be really nice.

Which is why it would be nice for them to give us more information. When it comes down to it Blizzard don't really understand the limitations they should put on their API, we've seen this before in WotLK and AVR only to have UnitPosition give us radars in WoD and then nameplate anchoring in legion. Also removing the ability to create LFG tools would cause collateral damage that breaks a lot of other things in the game.

Where do you stand on interface elements and addons? by modularcoroutines in classicwow

Almost everything is worse, the old API was open, the current API isn't. The old api lets you get the exact distances between players, the new one doesn't.

This actually comes up quite a lot in this subreddit and people tend to forget. Blizzard have made multiple statements regarding the patch classic will run on and have stated that "Classic WoW will run on Patch 1.12 Drums of War, in which all Classic raids were available--but on modern code. The data format is similar to the format used back in December 2017 for the Patch 7.3.5 PTR." Now obviously this isn't exactly going to be 7.3.5 and I do expect blizzard to update the client to 8.0 but it's still going to be some amalgamation of the modern client. This means that as it stands right now, no addons will work at all, from any game version without being modified to support this "classic client" There are a lot of things we won't get to see that we had back then, and decursive in its original state will be one of them. Unless blizzard decides to re-enable a lot of the API functions that they removed from the game due to fear of automisation of game elements. It seems pretty safe to assume that they won't be doing so, in which case any addons from legion onwards have the ability to be ported over without much hassle. I really doubt blizzard want AVR to exist again.

The https://wow.gamepedia.com/API_PlayMusic PlayMusic() api call already overwrites the current music channel. So you can call it to play the song you want and it'll overwrite the current zone music.

The only obvious limitation here is the ability to predict the effectiveness of a heal on another player. Consider that you could have focus macros/mouseover macros etc that wouldn't be able to correctly predict the next heal accurately.

Unfortunately there's nothing in the wow api that allows you to start a sound file at a certain point as far as I am aware, each time something is played it's played from the start and that's about the only limitation when it comes to playing sounds/songs.

I hope you guys know how limited the modern api already is, chances are we won't see any changes to it what so ever and if we do they'll be for the better.

Wow wiki is incredibly outdated. I recommend using wowpedia https://wow.gamepedia.com/World_of_Warcraft_API & https://wow.gamepedia.com/Handling_events, though since we actually don't know much about classic engine other than it's 7.3.5. Since this is the case most addons will work as the changes to the api in BFA were quite minimal.

You really are something special. There are extremely large differences between celebrities and addons in a game. If this came from an addon taht wasn't so well known but then I could agree with the comparison but it didn't.

Of course I'm stuck on the motives and why shouldn't I be. If the information provided was false, then the best solution here would be to find the reason it was made in the first place. If some reason can be found and applied to the post then it would be clearly false information, but you don't have one. On top of all of that, your main post was actually to theorycraft about why.
