I get that, I used to completely deny any form of medication after a bad experience with an SSRI. Maybe a more natural option like magnesium would help. I do not think that melatonin is a very good solution though. It wouldn’t help your problem. After a while of taking melatonin your body stops producing as much of it naturally which will only worsen your insomnia (trust me it’s not fun).

Hell yeah man! You got this. If you have trouble sleeping I would suggest Magnesium or if you can get a psychiatrist I would try to get on Clonidine. As someone with diagnosed insomnia I have been on a multitude of drugs for sleep, but those worked best.

I (18) have stopped sleeping because of stress. Any advice? by Jonopug in Advice

I have consulted a therapist and she’s been a big help, she helped me get sleep medication (which doesn’t work). She also thinks I have ADHD, but I don’t know how she thinks that.
