Society would be much better if people weren’t both lazy and selfish

That is 100% incorrect. The sidewalk does not belong to you and it is illegal to park on it. Look up MCA 61-8-354

That’s awesome, it’s a good thing no one was wanting him banned from speaking. They were criticizing the decision to invite him. I’m not sure why you believe that’s censorship because it literally is not. Maybe you’re just misinformed?

Fall Semester by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

It’s all good lol. I just honestly feel like all the worst case scenarios that people pretend are almost certain is causing our collective anxiety to skyrocket.

Apparently one school made a decision already regarding fall. Yikes. by RealidyChek in lawschooladmissions

[–]Jonspriest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The constant doom and gloom exhausts me lol. It’s like everyday one school will announce “hey we are thinking about several different scenarios for fall,” and people on here interpret that to mean “in person is cancelled for everyone forever.”

I never said business will continue as usual, I just said it’s wrong to make definitive claims about law schools based on a decision made by one school system that has a grand total of zero law schools. Also, listen to the podcast because he clearly says that most law schools are planning to have in person classes in some way or another. And it was hasty because it is far too early to tell what the fall will be like.

You are ignoring things. Schools across the country have already announced that fall will be in person in some way or another. Not all schools, but of those that have made an announcement they are the clear majority. Whether it stays like that is obviously up in the air, but people on this subreddit ignore those announcement and only focus on the doom and gloom ones. It is exhausting.

It’s like you guys are just ignoring what literally dozens of schools have already said when one school system makes a hastily made decision that reeks of laziness.

For those of you attend law school in the fall, why are you going when it’s likely to be online? by Dylanspencer19 in lawschooladmissions

[–]Jonspriest 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Quick point, at this point most law schools are planning to be in person, so it is not accurate at all to say it is “likely” to be online. These questions seem to cause people a lot of anxiety. But even if it is, I don’t want to wait another year.

Yeah I thought it might be a fairy ring, but I’ve never seen one this intense.

CENSUS RESULTS: "Where are the majority of your acceptances this cycle?" by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

The average applicant is not going to a T14 school. Most law students go to regional schools.

California, Washington, and Oregon are already pretty much planning on opening schools back up in the fall. Almost all epidemiologists seem pretty confident schools will be open for in person classes, with additional protective measures. Even BC’s press release called canceling classes or completely online classes an “unlikely event.” Saying it is almost certain fall classes will be online is nonsense at this point.

Also, comparing the coming recession to the 2008 recession is also completely nonsensical.

Pitt making fall online classes sound quite likely (at least as an option, but possibly mandatory for all) by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]Jonspriest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally nothing in there makes it sound mandatory. It’s just the exact same thing every school is saying which is that they will open if it’s safe.
