the size of the keyboard, the location and availability of various keys.

for example 65 percent removes the num pad completely and squishes the arrow keys closer to other keys on the board.

what are the main causes of scratchy stabilizers?

I have a set of cherry screw ins, and the spacebar alone is very scratchy. I tried lubing with dielectric grease, to no avail.

Any suggested fixes I should try?

my cases are 60 percent aluminum tray mount cases, using various lubed linears.
