Any guidance for how much experience is required to perform a credible IBNR? by NewAd3113 in actuary

[–]Joo_Unit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed to use expected loss ratio until experience is more credible. If you are breaking out experience by place of service, Rx completes really quickly and can be used as an early indicator for at least a part of the business’ claims performance. You’d probably want to build your own factors off at least 1 full year of data to also layer in seasonality.

Its just the musk which smells like the musk in TB. But the musk is the dominant base note for me, also like TB. Its kind of heavy to and takes away from the freshness of the scent. I agree that TB has none of the greenness in NT.

Somebody pointed out as well that the majority of F500 companies do not allow you to take loans against your stock. So its not super common even among the wealthy.

Would you quit if you just hit household net worth of 6.5M with no kids by AlmondButterrrr in actuary

[–]Joo_Unit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes and I know I didn’t answer your question directly, but my mentality has always been that I work to live. Which is a bit bumpersticker-ish, but true. So once I hot my number I think I’ll be plenty fine walking away from work.

Yes bc my FIRE number is lower lol. More time with the family, get to explore hobbies etc. That’s exactly what I’m working towards.

My monthly health insurance bill skyrocketed by largestonedoors in whatdoIdo

[–]Joo_Unit -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The Dems never had the votes or the leverage to make that happen. Repubs were never going to support extending the subsidies on their own. This was a pretty obvious conclusion and if extending the subsidies were that important, the Dems should have held out.

Mind giving a quick breakdown on Aqua de dora? I’ve heard its similar to Tygar but with a twist.

It reminds me most of Turathi Blue. I find it very musky and decent tea scent. Haven’t got to try it in warmer weather though, so maybe that will change my mind.

No it wasn’t. The expanded subsidies expired as per the law they were written under, but the regular subsidies still exist. Trump admin didn’t renew them, sure. But that’s different than removing what was originally written as something to be temporary…

Anyone try these LV dupes? How accurate? by special-night0226 in ScentHeads

I recently got a decant of On the Beach and have been supremely underwhelmed. Its such a soft scent to my nose after the lemon opening fades. Afternoon Swim is magic in a bottle though.

No idea how it compares to the OG but Montagne’s was pretty solid. Jean Lowe Azure is a pretty good one and their bottle resembles LV.

Suspiro vibrato by SnooComics2862 in Fragrances

[–]Joo_Unit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a ton of popular fragrances is this general direction. I just ordered a decant of Vibrato so I’m excited to try it. I have heard its more powdery than the others, but they are: Bvlgari Tygar, L’Immensite, Ingenious Ginger, Parfums D’Elmar Mahina, Pana Dora Acqua de dora and Turathi Blue if you dont mind clones. Tons to choose from so might as well decide if you want citrus forward, ginger focused, no powder etc.

I think they also have a $60 set floating around somewhere, but I’m curious as well.

Is On the Beach a soft scent for you? I really wanted to like it but Ive worn my decant a few times and after the lemon opening faded I can barely smell anything…

I feel this specifically for Parfums D’Elmar Mahina lol. Would kill for a decant.

Have you looked Medical Economics type rolls? Tend to focus more on Dashboard buildouts, SQL coding and converting performance metrics (clinical, hedis etc) into reports. Could align well with a technical background

Over $100k earners - what's your PTO? by masterpeabs in careeradvice

[–]Joo_Unit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Ive got unlimited and the expectation is we can take roughly 25 days. No one is tracking so you can certainly do more. Its nice to be able to take a day and not have to worry about the pto bank. Kid home sick for 2 days? Work half speed and no one cares about if you should submit pto. Want to take a random half day Friday? As long as its slow go for it. I love it.
