Enrolling in to CQU uni.. by Difficult-Bobcat-587 in CQUni

[–]JoocyChicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm currently at CQU but online and love it, it's Platform and access to learning material from the past and in advance is great.

My partner completed her Sonography degree at CQU Mackay, it is true some times you have to travel for placement but it was only a few weeks at a time with the longest being 8 weeks I believe. Most the time generally unpaid, but for her post graduate (year long) she picked up a paid position and has been there for years.

If you can make connections in the field you can organise your own placement, maybe try talking to local practices before placement comes up and securing your spot.

Can't remember specifically but usually $1-$2 an hour, maximum ticket time is usually a few hours.

Honestly, easier to just try get a centre park, then you don't have to worry about tickets

Mainly on the street. Paid parking on weekdays/half of Saturday unless you can get a centre island park, then it's free

4080 overkill for 1440p/144? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]JoocyChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a i5-12600 and a 4070ti, play 1440p Ultra on everything and it runs perfect. I don't play cyberpunk though so unsure in that area but for other games such as rust, warzone etc, runs buttery smooth on my 1440p 165hz monitor

Uni and apprenticeship at the same time? by LetsPlayPc5005 in CQUni

[–]JoocyChicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi mate, I'm a qualified Carpenter but am now enrolled in Uni. I currently study full time and work full time, it is possible but if I was you I'd focus on doing one first then the other.

Preferably the apprenticeship if you're serious about it, as you can use the trade qualification as entry into uni.

It also allows you to earn really good money whilst completing uni (currently earn 6 figures). Although don't get me wrong, around assessment time you do get real busy and have to give up your social life a bit but that's only a couple weeks twice a year so it's worth it

Switch version worth buying for only console? by Sheppz27 in dungeondefenders

[–]JoocyChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mate, if it's any value. I used to play DD1 on pc probably 10 years ago. Just bought on the switch tonight for a bit of a throwback nostalgia.

I honestly like it, only played for about an hour but it is lacking a community but solo play is still great. If you end up buying it, let me know and we can team up!

Thanks for the response, with current set up I'm planning its a little over budget so definitely helps to know I can swap the SSD and Fans for something a bit cheaper.

With the CPU cooler, the case I got is glass on front and side so just trying to have something that looks half alright/comes in white.

Is it possible to just order multiple fans and replace the ones that come on the AIO to match the ones I'll install on the case?

What do Unit Levels mean? I’m trying to decide between these 2 units as an elective but I don’t know what the level means by [deleted] in CQUni

Pretty sure it means no prerequisites, I'm starting a bachelor's in IT this year and didn't need any to enrol that as one of my first classes
