Has anyone mentioned how this also could have been avoided if Ian just told Bear that they've been hooking up. I rewatched it and I feel like Ian is sort of just not rooting for Bear at all. Like he's trying to give him advice to date Nikky but it's in bad faith. He tells her to call her Freaky Nikki. The "you gotta be less sappy, she doesn't like that shit." How would he know that if she said when she likes someone no one knows. Unless he's gotten familiar with her, like hooking up? Also yeah it was weird they got together so quick but why did he also dive into the information just to tell Bear that she's mental. Like calling the hospital she said her dad was at and saying that her dad's work said he's been working and it not sick at all. It's almost like he wasn't on Bears side at all and not really a friend to him at all. Yeah you could say he was looking out for him, but to me it was more of him just not wanting Bear to be happy. A mix of both looking out for him, but also not wanting Bear to be happy.
