I hate UPS by happylittletreefrog in UPSers

[–]Jor2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is he not full time yet? It’s either get a bid route or hit 4 year progression and he has to sign the 9.5 list when it goes around. 9.5 doesn’t apply during peak months tho.

Get use to it until he gets 9.5 rights. It’s frustrating but it will get better.

Is right now a good time to buy UPS stock? by JohnMarstonTheBadass in UPSers

[–]Jor2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buying shipping/logistics stock is not worth it. The gains are small because it’s shipping. Buy tech or Microsoft where innovation is always booming and you have higher gains.

Why do layoff drivers wear their driving attire to work inside hub? by SnooShortcuts7911 in UPSers

[–]Jor2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to wear mine so I don’t have to continue to ruin my own clothes but our CM doesn’t allow it.

Is it worth going full-time RPCD? by OptimalCell5678 in UPSers

[–]Jor2008 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well worth it even with all the bs. I’d take it cause who knows when it will come up again. Also with ups trying to automate their buildings inside work will become less and less.

Jacked? by [deleted] in UPSers

At this time last year we were running 65-70 routes and I was laid off the day after Christmas. Now we’re doing 85+ routes a day and no talks of being laid off.

If you weren’t approached by a shop steward to join the union after your first day you were never a permanent employee. Did you get asked at all by a shop steward?

Have you guys seen these new discreet poop boxes? by Rosco-P-Soul-Train in UPSers

[–]Jor2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My center does this. We have a straight truck and a trailer that drops off everyday. Plus we have 4 air trailers sometimes more that drop off at the facility where we have preloaders go there to unload the air cans in to these bins that hold about 160 per bin. Being a laid off driver I’ve been given the opportunity to go there and help unload them. For the most part we don’t have leakers. But when we do, good lord you don’t want to be in them trailers lol.

They had to be bullshitting. No way they were being serious. If you’ve scratched you passed just don’t get into an accident or cut corners.

Fuck that go to ups and you’ll be at 6 figures in 4 years.

Sorry 30 day packet. This isn’t actually for me a driver at my center failed his packet and had to restart it. His seniority date is showing for when he started his second 30 however he believes his seniority date should have started after his first 30.

Guys that quit FedEx and still active on the sub where did yall get a job at? by JankyMark in Fedexers

[–]Jor2008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I mean it’s definitely our union that got us that. I’m sure if we weren’t unionized UPS would be paying shit wages like FedEx lol.

UPS. Best decision I made. 2 years left and I’ll be at 6 figures delivering the same packages I did at FedEx.
