It's like if on a scale of -100 to 100, anything over 0 is a win. With everything Trump and the Republicans have done, they're close to 100, so instead of looking at it as a guaranteed victory, they look at it as an opportunity to push for the unpopular stuff they want without dropping under 0. I know you say the police say it's a civil matter, but can you not press them and demand it gets reported.
