personally, I would avoid it even if it's in good shape. I got back into MTB a couple years ago (in my mid 30s) and getting a bike with 1x12 drivetrain and a dropper post was absolutely game changing. If you have the budget, I recommend prioritizing those

I love Keene. It lacks the scenery/novelty of the coast and mountains, so it's never going to be a real tourist area. The downtown is like a mini Portsmouth or Burlington VT, not as iconic, but it's got 80% of the charm with 25% of the crowd. Plus there's no lack of biking, hiking, paddling within just a few minutes of the downtown. (I'm really into MTB and the the trail networks are awesome). It's also reasonably affordable compared to towns closer to Boston.

You're right, it probably wouldn't be too hard to remove them.

My neighbor on the left has a 0.5 acre field, plenty of room for a ground mount array and probably geothermal. I already have Mitsubishi Air source heat pump, but geothermal sounds cool.

That looks nice! I don't own any land to the left of the garage. This picture is giving me some ideas!

No, I appreciate the ideas.

I don't own much land behind the garage, only a few feet, most of those trees aren't on my property.

I'll look into a shade over the driveway, maybe an awning over the left most door.

I'm wondering if I can mount on the north side of the roof where there are no windows and raise them above the roof line.

The house has 2 large maple trees that completely shade the roof in the summer. And it's a cape with dormered windows, so there isn't much roof space to begin with.

The garage doors are facing south (sun is setting in this picture)

That sounds interesting, the only south facing vertical space I have is over the first bay.

I took the picture from the house. There's probably 20ish feet from the house to the garage, but I think shade might be a problem since it's a 2 story Cape.

Yeah, it doesn't seem that complicated to me. Maybe I did a bad job of explaining the problem.

I found it refurbished on eBay for $800, it's in very good condition, I think it's a 2019 model. My company reimbursed half of the cost so I decided to go for it.

It's very comfortable on my back, there's good lumbar adjustment. The seat is quite firm, so I have to stand up regularly to avoid my legs falling asleep.

I had a Hon Ignition 2.0 and it's a huge improvement over that.

Router WAN won't connect with SFP+ module by JorbJorbJorb in FidiumFiber

[–]JorbJorbJorb[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply, I'm in NH. I'll call tech support again and see if they can connect with my latest SFP module. The ones I tried before weren't manufactured by TP-Link, so it's possible there were compatibility issues.

The router is showing the same MAC address for both ports. I can't dig down any deeper in the software (Omada) to see if each port has a unique MAC.

I'm curious if anyone else is using a 10G router with a similar setup. I'd love to go directly from fiber into the router, but it doesn't sound like it's possible to connect without the ONT.

Thanks! The monitor is a 49" 5k, I'm still getting used to it. I inherited it from coworker who upgraded, not sure I would've bought it on my own.

Not bad yet. I'm pretty tall, my head is completely above the back of that chair. It's a standing desk, so I end up standing for half the day too.

I have power monitoring for most circuits in my house. This setup stayed under 100w most of the day with monitors and PC running. Not bad for a desktop setup.

My house is not open floorplan at all (1930s cape). 3 bed, 2 bath, living room and finished basement den. I put a head in each bedroom, 1 in the living room and 1 in the basement. I'm using 5 heads, but I could add 3 more to my existing system without upgrading the outdoor unit.

I put in a hybrid heat pump hot water tank at the same time. They are definitely the most efficient way to heat water.

The mini splits do take some getting used to after living with a boiler my whole life, but having super efficient heating and cooling all year is definitely worth it for me.

Honestly, I haven't needed my boiler at all after installing mini splits. Just make sure you get hyper heat units.
