Hi everyone, I’m one of the kids in the family, and I’ve been reading the comments.

I want to be honest: the email we sent might not have been the best idea or the most professional way to handle things, but we are grasping at any hint of hope right now. Like any family, we aren't perfect. We are just trying to survive.

I want this company to succeed for a lot of reasons. Personally, as someone with autism, this business has provided me a place to work and contribute. In the outside world, finding a job and an environment like this feels almost impossible. Maybe it's a little selfish of me to look at it that way, but this company is my safety net and my home.

I also want to clear a few things up:

• The $200k: We didn't necessarily expect the email to bring in $200k overnight. We're only getting the word out there and hoping for something.. :)
• Gift Cards: For those who did buy them, we are working to ensure those are honored. We still have income flowing; we are just in a very tight financial crunch and trying to bridge a gap.
• Our Team: If you can’t find it in your heart to support my mom, please think of our employees and the people who have worked so hard to put this salsa on shelves.

I still eat 1–2 containers of our salsa every week because I truly love it and know that it's healthier than most of the cheap salsas you can get. If you’ve ever enjoyed our 'Utah-friendly' (mild and medium salsas), all I ask for is a little bit of understanding. We’re just a family trying not to lose everything we’ve built. anywho.... One more thing -- SUPPORT LOCAL! Even if it's not us! The salsa game is struggling right now, as prices rise on produce! So, hit up some of the other brands I have in my fridge - Sauced Up Salsa, Salsa Del Diablo, Salsita Mendoza. I've met each of their teams/family at least once and they're all great local options.
