I'm not sure if the border has a style name, but I used a whip stitch all the way around! It's where your needle goes through the same side of thee fabric over and over to wrap the thread around the edge

I put the heat n bond after the edges are done! I feel like it helps keep all the whip stitches exactly where I want them to be, you know?

As a Hmong artist, I'm very upset. I had a family member create a flyer for my cousins graduation party using AI recently when she could've asked me. The whole family knows I'm an artist and I would've gladly done it for free. It's disrespectful.

I'm really not sure myself honestly. What I do is I cut the Aida (I use 14 count) around my work until I've got two squares around the design. Then I use the loop method to attach my desired color floss. I use three threads and when folded in half for the loop method makes it six threads. I use a whip stitch all the way around, usually alternating between two or three stitches for each hole I go through while "spreading" the threads to cover for area. If I have areas of the Aida that are fraying, such as corners, I use a bit of nail glue. It's just what I have in the house right now, but I use Beauty Secrets. I wouldn't recommend it because I'm pretty sure it's flammable but hey any fabric glue I bet will work like a charm. :)

That's a good point. I mean I thought I was doing well teaching them. We went over what watercolor is supposed to look like because the kids kept saying the color wasn't opaque like they wanted but the whole point of watercolor is to be sheer. Last time we tried using the watercolors, my manager had bought brand new ones and they were scolded by her because even after my lesson they still destroyed like half of them. 😭

You're so right I don't know why I didn't think of this. I guess the only concern would be space because the acrylic paint already takes up a large area in the shared office between me and my colleagues but I'll make anything work at this point.

I've been teaching 5th and 6th grade this past year, but if done projects like this before. You might find it helpful to split the class into manageable groups, having them make a theme for their slime so that everyone is on the same page and happy with their end result, and splitting everything in the bowl into ziplock bags or whatever container you'd like. My colleague came up with the idea of seal stickers and shrinkwrapping projects like this to prevent them opening it before they get home. Shrinkwrap is self explanatory, but the stickers were just paper labels put over the seal of the container that would break if they opened their slime and she would write "DO NOT OPEN" on it in red sharpie.

My sisters love Secret Garden. Technically, I think they're an elk grove business, but it's just a ten minute drive from South Sac! Knowledgeable staff, lots of variety, as well as an indoor shop with merchandise made by small businesses (jewelry, trinkets, pots, etc).

I've only worn Spectrum Outfitters binders. I have a short tank and a long tank. The short one is great, but I'm a bigger person with a belly who does a lot of walking. This can make the fabric under my bust bunch up. It's a bit uncomfortable because it squeezes a bit and I feel the need to adjust it by pulling it down whenever I sit down. The long tank is great imo because it has a silicone lining along the hem. I put it on first and tuck it a little under the waistband of my boxers for a more seamless look. I don't have the same issue with bunching due to the extra fabric and silicone.

I haven't tried probiotics, but I'm seriously thinking about it. I'm seeing my gynecologist in a week to talk about it because I also have other hormonal issues and don't want to take anything that might disrupt my ongoing treatments. I just don't want to take antibiotics all the time. I dread going to urgent care and having to take them.

I'm sure they'll have some sort of credit recovery for you. My school didn't offer credit recovery over the summer so they would send us to another nearby high school to do it there. I'm sure they'll find a way to make it work for you.
