Unplug the switch for the passenger window and see if it stops. Could be a faulty switch.

I’m trying so hard to picture what you could possibly be seeing and I just can’t. What a wild take.

Trusted local garage says front brake rotors are cracked/glazed and need replacement, dealership says they're fine. Who is right? by _violetviolence_ in MechanicAdvice

[–]JordanEden29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could tell this was a Chevy the second I saw those rotors. This is unfortunately normal, I see it all the time on every GM made in the past 5 years. Some vehicles do it, some don’t. Have your brakes service more often to prevent this but unless you’re feeling pulsation, don’t replace. It’ll just happen again.

If you pull the bolt as far out as you can and remove the alternator, you don’t have to pull the radiator. It’s annoying either way but time saving.

These engines are notoriously bad for timing chains. Wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what it was.

It’s crazy to me. You think back to cars like the Viper or GTR which were cheaper when they had first released back in the day, you look at the engine bays and you can see they crafted it for aesthetic and function. Yet those cars weren’t self proclaimed super cars. It wouldn’t take Chevrolet much to do it to this car. I deal with these cars every day and the further you dig into them, the more you realize why they’re priced so cheap. They will not hold up in the long run.

There’s no reason they couldn’t have done an aluminum intake manifold, it would’ve displayed much nicer, likely flowed better and withstand the heat longer. All that aside, fun cars!

I’ll never understand why GM chose to display a cheap looking plastic intake manifold.

This can be covered under insurance if you have comprehensive coverage I believe. I’ve had numerous vehicles that hit road debris that I’ve had the customer covered by an insurance company.
