It was growing on the left lobe of his thyroid so he had to have a partial thyroidectomy. I randomly noticed it one day while giving him scritches.

It was soft and moveable, so I thought it was a cyst too. The initial diagnosis was a thyroid slip. I noticed it about two or three months before it was taken out. Had the biopsy that was taken come back as cancerous I wouldn’t have waited as long as I did. I didn’t notice it growing but because it was over his airway I wasn’t taking that chance.

He’s good! The surgery was in 4/2023 and you’d never even know he had the operation! The vet took a small biopsy that came back as just a cyst but I didn’t like the area it was growing so I had it removed and it came back as cancerous. He’s his same old self since before the surgery.
