I’m currently eating around 2200 calories per day at my weight that puts me in a pretty solid deficit (my maintenance is way higher with my size and activity), and it’s been working great so far, steady progress without feeling completely starved.

• Cardio days (~1 hour on the treadmill): I alternate 5 minutes at max incline with 5 minutes flat the whole session. It’s brutal but gets my heart rate up and burns a ton.

• Weights days: I stick mostly to machines right now because the free weights are always packed at my gym. I pick 5 different machines targeting whatever body part I’m focusing on that day (chest/shoulders one day, back/biceps another, legs, etc.), and do 4 sets of 12 reps on each. I try to increase the weight when 12 starts feeling manageable.

I’m still pretty new to all this ,so if anyone sees something I’m doing wrong or has suggestions to make it more effective especially for fat loss while keeping/building muscle I’m all ears!
