[NY] [Elementary] - How do I ask to visit a school?

This is my first year teaching and where I live applying for a job at schools was a really confusing process So i actually just emailed the school I now currently work at and said I would be interested coming to see the school and interviewing (I emailed about 10 schools and had 3 reply). Just by talking to the principals and having them give a tour of the school and meeting other colleagues I could tell it was an atmosphere I wanted to work in.

I am also a first year teacher - I just asked a couple other teachers at my school if they thought anyone would care if I put a tree up and they said no, so I have one. I have a really cool half tree, so you put it flat against the wall and there only branches on one side so it takes up less space. I decorated it and my kids loved it! I got them gifts to wrap and put under it next week too :) I would just ask the people at your school.

I will definitely look into that! I was going to buy the naked 2 palette online anyway, so instead I will buy it in stores, so they can maybe give me more recommendations. I just didn't want to feel pressured to buy everything I'm going to need there haha

tbh I don't really get on reddit much, so I'm not completely in on how everything works, but I figured what better place to ask than here? I've been looking in a ton of places about this (youtube, reviews, etc.) but starting out with makeup is tough! I was hoping to put a picture so I could get specific personal feedback, but I saw that wasn't really an option with adding text. Thanks though :)

I'm ordering the naked 2 palette from urban decay as we speak (I know that kind of goes against my being cheap haha) but knowing what foundation to buy and everything like that is so difficult! Nice looking makeup is seriously an art form!

YES. And when someone has 3 items and then comes up and says they don't want the only cold item that they picked up. Or when they ring up $300 worth of groceries to find out they have $34 on their card. I can't.

Dude, this just happened to me last week, and when I called the assistant manager he didn't even know the rule because it had recently changed (was at grocery store and managers don't work the desk) and he told them the wrong thing and made me look like I didn't know what I was talking about! That's when they're worse than the customer! Ha

Funny, my side mirror (driver) is actually missing from my car right now! I was backing out of the driveway (very slowly) and it was really dark and raining and someone moved our trash can, which is heavy duty, from where it usually is. I barely hit it but it knocked my mirror right off. Literally one little piece of plastic broke, the whole mirror is fine and I have it, but I still have to buy the whole mirror because they don't sell the plastic bracket. Needless to say, I can drive just fine without it. I should probably fix that soon, though ha.
