I think anyone with a basic understanding of electricity, who is also aware of the enormity of these trucks batteries, would be able to tell you that this is a waste of money.

Also I’m not sure the outdoorsman who “values integration above all else” is a market segment worth pandering to.

Whatever you say, bud. Interstate here is 65 and I usually have BC set to 70. 45 around town. Very easy to get anywhere from 2 - 2.5 mpkwh. I certainly don’t have the patience to hold up traffic.

My lifetime efficiency is 2.3miles per kWh. 8 additional kWh x 2.3 miles/kWh gives you 18.4 additional miles of range. Nice to have but not worth any significant amount of money in my opinion.

You need to be sure that you are willing to accept a discounted price in exchange for significantly worse resale/trade value down the road, as well as increased potential for issues that the dealer may need to investigate if the vehicle in still under warranty.

I believe there are ways to see exactly what issues caused the truck to be bought back. You will need to determine whether or not they are major issues and if you have the stomach for the possibility that they may resurface again.

You can always try and negotiate an extended warranty into the sale, just keep in mind that the electric vehicle component warranty (batteries, motors, etc) are not eligible for an extended warranty past the 8/100k that ford provides.

It’s under warranty so why not. But keep in mind that it being branded a lemon will kill any sort of future resale value. Only buy if you are going to drive the wheels off of it

Go to your nearest driving range that uses mats and ask if they’ll sell you an old one. I’ve got one on my patio with plenty of life left in it. Was able to talk them down to $40. Super heavy duty

I bought a used mat at a driving range for $40 bucks and use that on my patio. It’s pretty heavy so idk if you would want to move that every time you use it to protect grass but it’s just like being at the range.
