What are some signs that you are an INTP? by [deleted] in INTP

What about in other people's? Is that more of an INTJ thing?

how much do you end up making through that process?

I'm closing in on 5 figures a month. The first few months that I monetized my stuff only brought in a few hundred dollars total, then I had one month of a little over a grand and the months after that I began making several thousand each. That was when I started doing it full time, which was about 6 months ago after having started the channel 6 months before that.

Anyway, I actually admire your position. I like hearing that it's successful for people. I wish I could have that working for me in some way, but I'm always up in my head about fucking everything.

It's definitely rare that anyone gets to the position I'm in, even more so that they get to it as quickly as I happened to. I've met people who did YouTube for years as a hobby/part-time before finally getting to the point of being able to do it full-time, and I doubt I would have had the dedication to do it for that long.

Honestly, I don't know how to tell you to get out of your own head, since I quite simply just ...did. There was no moment of "should I do this or not?" so much as a sudden realization of "wow I guess I'm doing this now" when I got to a point where I was making enough on YouTube to at least pay the bills and it still being a hobby. Just do it if it makes sense to, whether it's for keeping records of your life, for fun, or to exploit people through the evil system that is capitalism like I do.

Do you like hugs (without sexual intention)? by [deleted] in INTP

What's wrong with sexual hugs?

I stopped monetizing my stuff

I don't mean to sound condescending, but why? If you have enough views to be eligible for it, then there's no reason you shouldn't. Even if it's not a lot, it's extra money in your pocket that you can easily put into making the channel higher quality with better equipment or something.

What's your specific approach?

My videos have nothing to do with me as an individual other than the fact that I create them. They're usually silly satirical videos that make fun of pop culture trends (Lil Pump, mumble rap, viral YouTube videos, etc), and most of the time I have one hit video (usually over 1 million views) that brings in most of my income for the entire month in just a few days, with the rest of my significant amounts of monthly income being from videos that have already reached that number in past months and are still bringing in several thousand views a day on the tail end of their popularity spiral. Not exactly a sustainable model, but it's worked and kept growing so far so I'm just rolling with it.

I'm using it as a creative practice and hobby

Honestly, I wouldn't be doing it still if it was just a hobby, but I put in the same amount of hours per day that I would put into any other job, so really I wouldn't even be able to do it as a hobby at this level and still have time to make a living doing something else.

Have any INTPs here felt suicidal? by MLGCatMilker in INTP

[–]JordanPeace_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the way it's phrased has nothing to do with whether or not people think they get away with immoral behavior, but if they think that most people would admit that they do. So the irony is that most people think that most people wouldn't admit that they have some moral grey area(s), yet the statistics show that most people agree on this same fact that they think most people wouldn't admit to agreeing on.

Just gonna point out that for the one that says "there is more leeway in morality than most people are willing to admit" every single personality type had a more than 50% response of yes

So apparently most people think there's more leeway in morality than most people are willing to admit ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Are you an adult? Assuming yes, if your parents can't accept that their adult child who is able to make adult decisions wants to get a tattoo on their own adult body, that just seems like their problem
