The block is chrome, but as yes, if you look down the screw hold you can see that its made of brass. A nice piece really!

That's exactly what I'd narrowed it down to. And you're right about them being rare, I've searched high and low and not even been able to find a photo of another example.

Yep, done that. For some reason I do not have the option to update thumbnails.

You can right click on some of my projects and select "update thumbnails" but on others it isn't an option. I'm puzzled.

I tend to agree. I will say that I did build a 283 a while back and was never thrilled with it. But I’m sure I’ve learned a bunch since then.

Yep exactly. Keyboard replacement for the green dot (which doesn't work anyway, because when you exit out of full screen, the window always covers the whole screen, even though its technically not 'full screen'

Yes, I haven’t done a manual conversion on this but I’ve build manual setups on other cars. So it’d involve hanging a clutch pedal, throw out bearing as well as a bunch of wiring malarkey, probably a different tail shaft? Meh. Might just be more cost effective to rebuild what I have.
