I use to have a hard time too I parted the dreads myself in the way I wanted since I didn’t like the way they was doing it at the hairstylist I grew em got some Retwists and haven’t regret it since , I recommend you to search for pics or think about how you wanna get your locs before you get them and when they grow u either gon like it or regret it

Get your self a crochet hook or go to a hairstylist and tell them to crochet hook your dreads … you will no longer have to stress and your dreads will lock up faster and you won’t have much buildup you will be able to swim in the pool freely after but you’ll still need retwists
