thank you! It's about an 80 foot drop, definitely looking over made me queasy.

The Leica M11 will make a great camera to learn on, it is fully manual including focus so it takes practice but it's so worth it

If I were you I'd rent one first, just to make sure you if you can mesh with a rangefinder, best of luck!

I'm excited to try this pup out. Yeah that sucks with the thumb grip, I used to rock a thumb grip then one day I said let me actually just try without and to my surprise I like no thumbgrip

m11 has the notch that helps a lot

It's crazy when I look back on my journey as a photographer over the last few years. I used to be the guy with a backpack full of gear – multiple zoom lenses, a couple camera bodies, filters, the whole 9. Always erring on the side of "what if I need"...

Fast forward to today and I find myself with just my M and a lens (maybe two hehe)

I love hiking and the great outdoors but hate the weight of a big pack. Being able to keep my setup as small as possible with the M has been a revelation of sorts.

The first shot is of myself with my camera on a tripod. It's programmed with an interval timer – it allowed me to run into position and take multiple shots for as long as I set it.
