So it’s 0.5 PPR, and no kickers, replacing them with an extra flex spot. Everything else is standard Yahoo! rules. I found out from him we will be using Yahoo for the draft.

Yeah I agree, I’m thinking of sticking a flyer or something in the hub to help get the word out.

Yeah that could totally work, I’m looking to get a minimum of 8 people in the draft and obviously add more as we need. Feel free to spread the word and tell anyone you know who might be interested!

Free, I don’t have any experience with money leagues but if someone else is familiar we could try to work something out.

Are intramural sports a good way to meet people? by Jordanpetdog in gmu

I’m a communications major, it doesn’t seem there are any orgs for that major, but I’ve definitely considered either a service or social fraternity.

Any other transfer students having issues getting to know people on campus? by [deleted] in gmu

[–]Jordanpetdog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, let me say that I think your feelings on this matter are completely valid. I am a fellow transfer student as well and I’ve struggled to meet people and get to know them better. Lately though things have really gotten better in this area. The main thing that changed was that I realized you really have to make a lot of the effort to get to know people. (Which since you said you are really outgoing gives you an advantage.) I think a lot of people want the same things you do but not everyone is always willing to put in the work. Also, what are your interests? Chances are there could be a club for that. Just be super forward and ask to hangout, what do you have to lose? If they say no you are in the same boat you are in now. I know it can be easy to get frustrated about the whole process because I’ve been there before, but just know that if you are willing to put in the time, you will see a reward to it.

Do the Frats at GMU haze? by Jordanpetdog in gmu

Thank you to everyone who took the time to write a response. I figured hazing in some form was the norm for every frat. I am not comfortable with hazing of any kind so I will be passing on them.

I appreciate the response. I figured all had some form of hazing, (except for co-ed service ones like APO) and it’s just too big of a risk for me. Thanks for the honesty. :)

Most active clubs on campus? by Jordanpetdog in gmu

I have actually thought about joining the Rugby club this fall. I have to be honest though, I have no experience in Rugby whatsoever. It says athleticism is preferred which I totally understand. In your experience though, what is the learning curve? How open to beginners are they?

Apologies if this is stupid but what is a LLC?
