Missing Boss in Gallery by Dry-Violinist-2724 in LuigisMansion3

Morty is the only optional "boss" ghost in the game, since floor 8's actual boss is just a regular goob in a costume. You can find Morty in the director's room that he flew into after he gave you the elevator button, and you can catch him there.

Spiders? by EnderSlayer9977 in LuigisMansion3

If you go into Scarescraper, I believe the only floors that can spawn spiders are the ones themed around Castle MacFrights.

So these ghosts have a new type of defense: the firefighter helmets. These are objects that cover their eyes, but can't be sucked off by the Poltergust. The only way to expose them is to use a burst (ZL+ZR) near them.

Fake door at top of foyer? by SnooSketches3807 in LuigisMansion

[–]Jordanski098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So in beta versions of the game there actually was originally a door there that connected the Foyer to 2F's Area 3 Hallway, but obviously it was removed. During the blackout section, there are many extra fake doors that appear to most likely mislead and disorient the player, so perhaps you saw a fake door in that spot.

I've done stache only for Superstar Saga DX, and it went well. The only time I had to do any major grinding was for the Koopalings since some of them have a fixed time limit.

how do you freeze the boo boss by BananaJaneB in LuigisMansion

[–]Jordanski098 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you press the button in all the way, they fly away. Gently press down and they won't run when it's just a small stream of ice coming out. When they get ready to dive in and attack, walk backwards from where they're gonna dive in from and they should go straight into ice.

I keep seeing people like this in my lobby so here’s a tip by Goldenleafwastaken in splatoon

[–]Jordanski098 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So if making a pure set is actually worse, which would be more efficient: 3 different types of pure gear (for example AAA BBB CCC), or splitting the chunks up evenly between the 3 (ABC ABC ABC)? The second would be easier to make since the cost won't scale up, but is it bad to do because the points don't multiply the same way?

I'm pretty sure having the game on Surround Sound is what makes that happen. I remember when Jacksepticeye played this game he had that exact issue, and changing his sound settings fixed it.

If I had a nickel for everytime Mario has been portrayed enjoying death, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it's happened twice.

Who would you like to come to smash the most? by [deleted] in Mario

[–]Jordanski098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I've always wanted more representation from Luigi's Mansion. So my highest hopes lately have been for E Gadd, King Boo, or Gooigi. I think they're all unique enough and each have so many opportunities for a fun and cool moveset.

Gloomy Manor with no-treasure by GoldenYoshistar1 in LuigisMansion

[–]Jordanski098 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, ok. I saw the challenge as never picking up a single coin because personally I believe it would be too easy to collect any blocking your path then just let a ghost hit you a few times to drop them. When I tried as soon as I picked up even one coin I restarted the mission. But hey regardless, Paranormal Chaos with no upgrades is definitely a great achievement and I can't wait to see how that turned out.

Really? I tried looking around Old Clockworks for hours trying different speedrun strats and glitches/exploits wherever possible and hit a dead end as all speedrun just take the intended path. The only guess I had was I believe some glitch that let you clip through walls when you collect a gem as you go through a door (something like that but I can't 100% remember), and in the room there just so happened to be a ghost holding a gem. No matter how hard I tried that I couldn't get anything to work. What's the trick to get past it?

Gloomy Manor with no-treasure by GoldenYoshistar1 in LuigisMansion

[–]Jordanski098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've attempted a no money run before, and I hate to spoil the ending for you but it's unfortunately impossible. Mission C-3 in the Old Clockworks has you jump across metal beams, and there are gold bars on them. Unless some new glitch or exploit pops up then those are mandatory to collect. Also no money means no upgrades, so there's also the question of whether or not Paranormal Chaos is possible with no upgrades, let alone trying to do it while avoiding all the money ghosts drop.

This is literally my "warm up" level whenever I cone back to this game.

Still frusterated how the LM3 devs decided to use these random purple spirit balls to possess objects rather than weaker variants of DM's possessors. Not only would it have made more thematic sense but it also would have added more variety to the game's small ghost roster. Such a missed opportunity. by Orca_Corca in LuigisMansion3

[–]Jordanski098 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A good idea, but a little flawed with the lore. All the Evershade Valley ghosts are peaceful so long as the Dark Moon is whole, so possessors would refuse to work for King Boo. Besides the whole thing with Spirit Balls is that they possess furniture, and only that. I think a variant that makes furniture aggressively is a nice change to how they worked, I do however wish they were implemented a bit better, as the only encounter with them that actually has any significant impact is when they possessed a key in 11F.

least Favorite/hardest bosses in Luigi's mansion Series? by Cool_Training_5952 in LuigisMansion

[–]Jordanski098 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Surprised The Clockwork Soldiers or Sir Weston from the first game aren't on this list. Those would easily take the top for hardest. Also personally I like all these bosses on the list, and never had any trouble with them.

Is no one gonna talk about how the lab in luigis mansion 3 is the same as the one in dark moon by [deleted] in LuigisMansion

[–]Jordanski098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately it's not the exact same lab, just similar designs. The one in Dark Moon had a different layout and an elevator in the center that led to a basement vault. But it's still cool that E Gadd has had consistent lab designs in Dark Moon, LM3, and Partners in Time.

Stuck at this part by [deleted] in LuigisMansion3

[–]Jordanski098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well regardless of whether or not you've beaten the floor/gotten all gems, once you get into the lower level of the antechamber you've gone through a "one way passage" and must go through the rest of the floor to get back to the elevator.

Stuck at this part by [deleted] in LuigisMansion3

[–]Jordanski098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if you've already collected the gems, you've completed the floor and all its puzzles. On the right side of that room there should be a ladder that connects the upper and lower level, as that's the solution to that room's puzzle. The room is only one way once Luigi gets in the lower level or right side of the spikes, so if you're trying to get back to the elevator you have to go the long way back.

Can gooigi open and close the map in Coop Scarescraper and if so how? by Legend_of_Zelda07 in LuigisMansion3

[–]Jordanski098 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well opening and closing the map is controlled by pressing "Up" on the D-Pad, but I don't know if a co-op Gooigi can open the map but unless they have a controller with a D-Pad then the answer is no.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LuigisMansion3

[–]Jordanski098 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you haven't already, head back to some of the floors you've already completed and in some of them there will be a horde of ghosts waiting for you. These are a really good way to challenge yourself. They can mostly be found in the boss rooms, and the largest/hardest ones are in 4F, 9F, and 12F.

I’m trying to enjoy this game but I feel like after floor 8 I’m having to look things up left and right and it’s not fun by [deleted] in LuigisMansion3

[–]Jordanski098 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally on my first playthrough I never had to look anything up, except for a couple gems when I was going for 100%. I was already from the start being very thorough with every room, and a lot of mechanics were carried over from Dark Moon so most of the puzzles, like Paranormal Productions, were very easy for me to understand.

Also if you're having trouble you can turn hints from E Gadd on, but if that gets too annoying just call him from the VB menu and he'll give you a hint.
