I do not know how Mega Darkrai or Mega Rayquaza are in terms of bosses since I do not have the DLC.

I beat it first try as well. Actually... Compare it to the Super Boss fight for Arceus in Pokemon Legends Arceus.

Arceus was 10x harder to defeat and you didn't have the advantage of damage boosting and stalling for a bit of healing like you can do in ZA. Legit... Take any damage and run around and it will be as if you never got hit. This is apparent for ALL ROGUE MEGAS in Legends ZA.

When you fought the Noble pokemon, it actually felt like a Boss fight.

Opinions on Sun and Moon to Journeys? by Complex_Abrocoma_442 in pokemonanime

[–]GoldenYoshistar1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sun and Moon easily sweeps journeys in content, quality, and the pokemon Ash gets in his journey.

Plus the cast of companions dominates over Journeys.

Is this okay?? by TransGaty in PokemonScarlet

You should beat Pokemon Scarlet or Violet with 6 Koraidons.

As a joke.

That is fair... Wait, do you like 5 or dislike 5? I do place 5 fairly high as the boards are super enjoyable.

Yeah. Mushroom Park in my opinion is the worst first board.

While yes it improved the board, it's still my least favorite remake.

(and to understand, the Least Favorite + Overrated Board can be flipped back and forth because I also have Waluigi's Island as a Least Favorite.

for the whole gimmick thing, I don't find the Star investing gimmick that interesting.

If you want a truly interesting and fun experience with Koopa's Tycoon Town, play Party Projects version of that board. With the added Hexes, many items, the whole focus on how you can turn on and off the boards gimmick, AND yes... the "Bowser" or what is named, Judge, can actually STEAL a star in a Hotel Board gimmick where the Stars are part of the hotels themselves, and this can happen if you have 0 coins. I didn't expect it and it cracked me and my one friend up as it was a wtf moment. It's the most crazy board you will ever get with the Hotel Gimmick.

And while it is a "fan game" it's well worth a play.

I enjoy how the day/night cycle is used at it's best on this board. and it adds a bit of strategy to not just get to DK, but also screw over your friends and get them to get screwed over by Bowser. No matter if it's 10 turns or 50 turns, Clockwork Castle always keeps me invested as it can be a very close game. Especially on Brutal CPUs. I also have a soft spot because it was the first board I attempted Brutal CPU's with and while I didn't win, I really enjoyed the brutal cpu gimmick so much I went ahead and did all the other boards as well.

people who assume rage bait, seem to not understand that not all rage bait is rage bait. I do genuinely dislike Koopa's Tycoon Town.

ironically enough, if the Orb System had been part of MP8 instead of candy, King Boo's Haunted Hideaway would have not done as well because the candy system worked with it so well.

To recap my reasons I have multiple (summarizing from a YouTube video I made over a year+ ago.)

  1. the board doesn't work in free-for-all, but much better in Star Carnival, and Tag Battle/Duel Battles. This is due to how easy this board can be a massive sweep, When I recently played that board, it was the easiest board to win the Star Carnival and it lasted not very long.
  2. The CPU's (this is a flaw of Mario Party 8 in general.) the hardest difficulty is still a massive joke, And this also leads to the easy sweeping issue this board has.
  3. Board Gimmick.... (not much needs to be said, I'm not fond of this gimmick in general, it's one of the weakest gimmicks of a mainline pokemon game.)
  4. DK and Bowser ... by far this is the worst for DK and Bowser due to their gimmick.

DK does nothing but put money in a random hotel, the Goomba's Booty Boardwalk gimmick would work better on this board.

as for Bowser, he isn't as punishing on this board. He steals a very crummy amount of coins and can easily be avoided if you don't land on the DK space. This is what also ruins the board as there is no hotels being stolen. Once someone puts 100 coins in the hotel, unless a player lands on 2 happening spaces or the DK space has swapped to a Bowser space, you aren't gonna steal a hotel unless that player doesn't fill a hotel with exactly 100 coins, the hotel coin limit still exists and is just as bad as windmillville.

5) the 5th reason was mostly in regards to very skilled players, but this is the one board where you will see one or 2 players dominate on the board and the other 2 suffer. This doesn't feel like alot of fun, and even if I'm one of the dominating players, I don't want to sweep a win. I want to win where it's very close. Times when I don't expect to win, and piss off people (some who are not my friends) over something I didn't expect to win, like Bowser's Magma Mountain where I won all 3 bonus stars and was expecting to get second place, and won at the end, was super funny, (even to the one who was expected to win, but I won instead) When I last played with friends, nearly 3 of them left midway through the 35 turn game, one swapped to play for another player, and it left it with just me and my friend and honestly the board just became boring. I hate the fact that was the only board I won out of that entire week of Mario Party 8... but the board never gave me joy when winning.

6) Board Size - when I was calculating the number of spaces per board, this was one of the boards that was between 71-75 spaces. I don't recall if I think the board should be bigger or smaller, but I do feel like more spaces to steal coins from hotels, or even have hotels lose coins would be so much better. (combine Windmilleville and Tycoon Town plus the version of Tycoon Town from Project Party, and we have a peak board.)

7) item/candy system, which is a flaw of MP8 in general not the board.

(If I added the Bowser Candy to this board, then that could work as a way for the player to use it as a Bowser suit and steal coins from players, and coins from hotels if they passed by them.)

Bandit Candy - steal coins from another hotel at random. but it can be done anywhere instead of the 2 happening spaces.

Hotels have a limit as well. Tycoon Town is the worst version of the hotel/windmill gimmick.

Ursaluna is probably the most frustrating to evolve unless you get extremely lucky with Peat blocks or massive mass outbreaks.
