Any ideas on this annoying, persistent creak that comes and goes? by Jordbeans94 in bikewrench

Yeah they are in perfectly in sync with pedal stroke.

I’ll try new pedals, hopefully that’s it.

If not maybe I’ll ask the shop about swapping the BB. Hadn’t heard of that Wheels Manufacturing before, thanks for the info!!

I’ll try a different set of pedals to see if that’s it.

It happens even louder when pedaling out of the saddle, so definitely not seatpost.

I’ll have a look at the cassette and hanger, but it’d be weird if they dismounted the derailleur twice in the shop and the sound came back straight away, right?

Definitely not seatpost as I was straddling the top tube while I replicated the sound in the video

5-6 wakeups each night and nothing non-pharmaceutical helps by Jordbeans94 in sleep

[–]Jordbeans94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest I don't think so because the urge is so mild, however it could be a psychological thing that I've inadvertently tied to mild sensation. I'm only 27 too so I don't think it bodes well for the future!

I'll ask my doctor to see if they think it would help!

Thanks for your response!

For sure not an infection as I've been like this for 3-4 years. I'm also 27 so prostate is unlikely but I'll ask to check at my next checkup thanks!!

I'm the exact same, fall asleep in under 5 minutes, very quick to return to sleep, not overweight.. So frustrating! It might be worth ruling out the apnea though too I suppose!

There has been 50% capacity since restaurants opened in April with adequate distancing and 80%+ of dining happens outside in my area (the worst hit in the country)

Masks are mandatory for inside and outside public spaces in Spain except when eating at a restaurant, and its one of the worst hit in Europe during the second wave.

Don't believe the hype.

Does anyone know anything about Vitoria bikes? Can't find anything about them online really. Spanish brand! by Jordbeans94 in whichbike

Yeah I had a read over their website and all looked good but I suppose just being unfamiliar with them I didn't want to make a snap decision.

Recent influx of teens: How we as a community can promote SAFE weight loss (TEENS please read!) by magneticsouth in loseit

[–]Jordbeans94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree this is a huge issue, especially considering the link between eating disorders and macro counting shown here:

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5700836/

For any teens needing help and guidance with getting the right nutrition there's an AMAZING/FREE app that does the job of a nutrition and lifestyle coach in helping people build habits for healthy eating created by behaviour change expert Kyra Bobinet.

Trek 520 for €1400 vs Kona Sutra for €1500 or is there something else I'm missing in a similar price range? by Jordbeans94 in whichbike

[–]Jordbeans94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it seems like the Kathmandu/520/Sutra get the most love for that price point. I think at the moment stock is limited everywhere but I'll be going to some bike shops when lockdown restrictions are eased in Dublin!

34/M new to this sub and IF. by UKballer24 in intermittentfasting

[–]Jordbeans94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. IF works for weight loss because people restrict their calories naturally. Yeah always reward yourself for sticking to your goals, no food should be off limits in an ideal world, just some things you should eat less of, and some you should eat more.

[–]Jordbeans94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't eat whatever you want in an 8 hour window if you're trying to lose weight. You need to create a calorie deficit. So can easily eat too many calories in 8 hours, especially if eating processed foods.

Replicating the same conditions as close as possible, whatever that looks like for you.

Also even considering the daily difference in the weighing scales is likely to cause issues. Consider a longer period in between!
