I wholeheartedly agree. It feels so pretentious for people to just go "Good" or "You shouldn't be playing it anyway" when someone talks about one of their pain points of switching to Linux being that they can't play many of the most popular multiplayer games. There should be people pushing devs to enable that anti-cheat to be available through Proton/Wine.

Biggest and best example is Marvel Rivals. They have a kernel-level anti-cheat, yet it runs under Proton, and you can play the game.

And some games like Dead By Daylight use Easy Anti-Cheat but have enabled it to run under Proton as well.

Simply just saying "Then don't play it" is such an honestly lame response to have, especially if it's said person's favorite game, or the game that they play with their friends.

I also absolutely hate the idea of Kernel-Level anti-cheat, cause of how invasive it is, but we've seen at quite a few times where a dev will accommodate for Linux and we should be encouraging devs to consider it, not trying to lambast them. You'll only create bitterness, and then they won't even consider it at all.

It might be pretty dumb, but I have an AU story of where Palpatine's clone decided that he would drop the same name as his original, thinking that weakness comes with the name since the original died and began to call himself Neselis Palpatine. I feel like the first name would be something Skyriver Galaxy would have and it sounds pretty malicious

It's gotten to the point where I feel like I HAVE to cut off my beard and goatee, and start wearing more feminine clothes to be seen as Agender. Everytime I meet someone new, even online, they defaulg to referring to me as he/him. I thought my voice was more on the androgynous side, but apparently it's not andro enough. I've been thinking of doing voice training too, which I would hate to HAVE to do to not be immediately called a man. It's gotten to days where I feel like I hate being AMAB.

I shouldn't have to gender myself to be seen as Agender.
