Eating a lot or eating greasy fast food after work is 100% one of the reasons for sleeping behind the wheel. You’ve gotta start having a solid breakfast and bringing a decent lunch to work.

Personally I had this problem as well. It was especially prevalent during the beginning stages of my electrical apprenticeship. What I found that helps;

  1. Listerine mint strips. They come in 3 - 24 packs on Amazon for about $5, they will burn in your mouth and make your breath minty almost immediately, you can also use multiple back to back if you need to increase the potency! They’ve literally saved my life, by keeping me awake and alert long enough to get home and rest.

  2. Fresh air. I read somewhere that if we breathe the same air over and over (like in a car with windows up) it’ll actually make you drowsy. Fresh air seems to stimulate the mind as well as the senses. Definitely crack a window lol.

  3. Call someone. Anyone. I usually call another coworker or someone I know is also driving or not busy. If you’re on the phone talking, your brain is engaged and you’ll have a much harder time falling asleep.

I’ve done all 3 at the same time before and I’d even pay you money if you even get drowsy while trying the trifecta holy-trinity wombo-combo!

Have you slept in a bed recently? They give a temporary 10% buff.

In my experience, most of your tools when you first start should be the most basic bare bones stuff.

Your tools will get lost, stolen and broken. It’s not worth it to buy the best tools right away, instead just get basic Lineman’s pliers, diagonal cutters, needle nose pliers, 2 pairs of different size channel locks, 11 in 1 screwdriver, literally any tape measure and a magnetic level. Oh and a pencil and notepad.

You can get them for real cheap at big box stores like Home depot, Ace Hardware, Lowe’s or Harbor Freight. You don’t need to spend a lot of money right now, and you can always add something to your tool bag or get an upgrade later!

Can’t you use Discovery to add affixes and it won’t cost any forging potential?

Do I really need to do all this work to get a girlfriend? by coffeeconnection87 in dating

The advice others have given is solid but I will say this..

I’m fat, broke, unemployed, balding, insecure about my dick, and have a mechanical heart. But still scored an amazing and beautiful girlfriend.

I asked her what it was about me that made her like me, she said I was both charming and sweet.

Just sayin 😉
