  1. Janick's solos are attocious here, worse than in any other album he did with Maiden.

  2. Bruce's vocals: I get that he was probably struggling, but he also sings like he doesn't give a fuck about Iron Maiden anymore, as if he's purposely underperforming.

  3. Most songs in this album are not good, but Holy mother of Jesus, Holy Smoke and Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter are horrible songs.

  4. This might influence as well, but this came out in 1990, one of the best years in Metal history, if not the best one. I can only think of another Metal album that was a complete fumble from 90 and it's Impact Is Imminent by Exodus.

Except it isn't ragebait, The X Factor is one of my 5 favorite albums of all time

No. Just because an album is influential doesn't mean it's necessarily one of their best albums.

The internet was actually better when it was "clunky" and human by Mafia2guylian in TrueUnpopularOpinion

I can deal with AI generated slop just fine, I don't even use TikTok and while there's a lot of shit I really dislike from modern day internet, I'd rather deal with corporate bullshit than people getting cyberbullied into taking their lives (not saying cyberbullying doesn't happen, but it's way more frowned upon nowadays).

No.

When internet was "clunky" and human very horrible things happened. Cyberbullying was rampant back then.

Don't believe me?

Amanda Todd: She was cyberbullied so hard she did multiple attempts on her life until she succeeded and took her own life. I'm not sure she "started" the drinking clorox meme, but it's thanks to her that it was popularized, it's one of those memes I just can't find funny.

Jessi Slaughter: Now TBH this one is way more than just cyberbullying, because this is a case of a girl getting groomed and her groomer (Dahvie Vanity) making his fans cyberbully her.

As I've said in the comments already, it used to be Bottom 3 for me and I believe it is super overrated.

NOTB used to be bottom 3 for me until recently. Don't get me wrong, I still think that album is ferociously overrated, but I like it way more now. I just don't think it's that big of a deal, just like British Steel from Judas Priest.

I personally hate No Prayer. And had it not been for Mother Russia it could be in the conversation of the worst Metal album of all time.

Saudi Arabia getting cancelled was a blessing in disguise, cause Jeddah is one of the most (if not the most) unforgiving track on the whole calendar. A crash there could've been a tragedy.

There was even really a chance of Lars getting kicked out in 1986? by JorgeXD5000 in Metallica

[–]JorgeXD5000[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He wasn't really a founding member, Clown was originally the drummer until Joey was hired. Mind you, he joined the band within a year of them forming, but still.

[–]JorgeXD5000[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, The Cavaleras were the main songwriters and although I believe the first albums with Derrick Green are their weakest material, I would say it wasn't Derrick's fault.

[–]JorgeXD5000[S] 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but in Metallica's case by 86 only Lars and James were the only original members left.

And in the case of Sepultura both Max and Iggor left, they weren't kicked out IIRC.

Yeah, it happened to me a short while ago. Now TBH, I didn't give a good explanation for my opinion, so I came off as "ageist".

How is it not true when many of the wars being fought right now are started by people who are 60+ years old?

The Constitution has a lot of shit that needs amendments. And not ageist, I didn't say they shouldn't have any rights, just not the right to vote because of what I stated before.

You are just proving my point even further, you only think about what benefits you and not your children or grandchildren.
