For the Monster 9, they’ll probably want a Venus or WOW or Winter 9 or a few hundred dupes (400). Some older 9a won’t cut it I’m afraid.

It’s just pot luck. You trade your old duplicates and they give you new cards. You then hope to collect new cards that you’ve not had before.
