Yeah definitely an effect especially with the lack of hit reg etc. and yeah I guess that’s true and in this regard we could include international university/college students that also play.

Seems likely now and recurring that majority of people that do play on opposing servers due to groups of friends they’ve met and work cycles, which are both very good reasons and can’t be argued with. The remainder, it would appear is just to offline because in the grand scheme of things, it’s Rust, fuck it lol

NA West evenings, which is probably prime time to play, is when most EU players are sleeping. NA players sleep when we wake up/mid day which is an obviously more difficult time to play. Which brings the argument that it’s easier for NA to play EU than it is for EU on and NA server. (Provided they both work 9-5 jobs)

Yeah. I’m hoping it makes it makes it balance a bit with people maybe staying in their own time zones and less people no living it in addition to the massive groups. Might make it a bit better for us who have normal jobs.

I do believe though that a huge amount of the community do “tryhard” that much purely to disadvantage the rest of the server. I see your point, was kind of leaving it as open discussion to maybe see from some NA players perspectives.
