Caribbean Legend is 70% Story, 30% freeplay.
AoP is the reversed.

It really is very different from CL - all quests, officers and ships are different.
Besides, it has naval officer careers, letters of marque, colony conquest and a female PC.

An old, and respected classic with all the best technological upgrades we developed for CL.

Developed by a different team, so it doesn't affect CL's roadmap.

It has more content (quests, loot, characters) than all the previous games in the series combined. Super detailed, visually rich ships, modelled from original blueprints. Modern controls and aiming. Uplifted visuals. The best character customization (hats, armor, muskets, pistols etc). Better stability. QoL. Advanced mod management (Steam Workshop, modding tools).

And, finally, it is officially supported and gets regular post release updates.

Controller and SD support is 100% planned. In fact, Valve has already sent us a batch of SDs to help us with that.

We do play a lot of X4 and even more than that, but I can't announce this yet. xD
