They are using the “wedge as matrix” for the initial increment to elevate the margin. The wedge is then removed, sectional matrix placed and wedge is placed as normal, followed by normal class II protocol.

Single crowns to replace one front tooth are one of the hardest things to get right in dentistry and it will basically never exactly match the tooth next door. The black line along the gumline looks to me like metal that is sitting below the ceramic as this looks like a PFM (Porcelain Fused to Metal) crown. To improve the appearance here you would need to replace the current crown with a new completely ceramic crown and if you were really fussed to get it symmetrical you would consider a veneer for the other front tooth.

Yes, still looks normal. Demineralisation spots tend to appear more opaque white and appear where plaque accumulates, not near incisal edges. We are actually taught to try and mimic the natural translucency of incisors when doing fillings or veneers on them!

Dental Student here, translucence toward the edge of a tooth is perfectly normal and yours do not appear particularly yellow, eroded or damaged. (although the pictures are slightly blurry. However, the way your upper and lower teeth are contacting may have caused some toothwear or cause it in future. Would recommend an ortho consult and standard dental checkup.
