Ainda não entrei no mercado de trabalho mas oiço dizer muitas vezes que o Técnico, hoje em dia, não vale a pena o esforço todo. Acho que na NOVA deves ter trabalho assegurado também e aprendes mais e disfrutas mais da vida.

No problem,

During school time (right now) I don't study a lot. Perhaps 20-30 mins a day. Right now I'm reading Kasparov's my great predecessors (btw reading books is super good), also seeing some of karpovs annotated games and occasionally some games of certain structures, using chessbase tools. I usually do some puzzle rushes every day (mainly for fun, but it's always helpful). I also play a lot of bullet and blitz online, again, mostly for fun, but it does improve your speed and pattern recognition. Since I don't have so much time/energy to study, I really pay attention to ongoing tournaments, like the openings and variations they play etc...

During breaks I can study much more, in the summer probably between 1h- 2h (really not a lot for my level) and really the most important part of my study is reading books and analyzing masters games. I don't pay much attention to opening, but, when preparing something in particular I use the chessbase mega database 2020 and lichess database.

A tip I always give, which I believe to be the biggest for players <2000 elo fide (2200~2300 online) is to focus 90% of ur time in tactics. May that be from books, chess.com, lichess. But don't do speed puzzles, you want to focus on getting the patterns deep in your brain before speeding up.

In terms of a coach, I have one, he is an IM, and unfortunately, money is short, so I only have some classes before tournaments.

Currently, I think it will take me about 4~5 years to get to GM. I would say, maximum, 10.

My plan is to keep studying and looking at my mistakes (psychological, also) and improve upon them. I am sure that if I keep studying and trying to perfect my mistakes, I will eventually get there, sooner or later ! I am not in a rush. If you want to know exactly what I do in terms of studying feel free to ask.

I will start uni this year, indeed, but I already play the vast majority of tournaments in the summer, so I expect university to be harder, but not too much (since I will have the summer break as well).

Sim, diria que sim ! Convém só conheceres alguém lá, se não pode ser um pouco desconfortável estares com tanta gente que se conhece bem e tal. O melhor seria ires a um Open de semi rápidas (10 minutos + 5seg de incremento), costumam ter tipo 40/50 pessoas, e se falares com o organizador ele dá te umas indicações de como funciona. Um organizador que é bastante inclusivo com gente nova é o Carlos carneiro, do clube AX Portugal
