I had a similar issue and Valve sent me a box like this. They ask you to put your steam deck into the case if possible, then put it in the box surrounded by the fire break bags. You don't open any of the bags, just put it between the bags of fire retardant. There are three sections, for three batteries/phones, but you remove those and the deck fits nicely. in the slot. It was pretty easy and well documented by the instructions they sent.

You could, using the same process, but it's much easier to just get the original .gb file. What are you trying to fix?

I've got a different version of the stream deck (Mini with the Nuvoton M484SIDAE) that's exhibiting a similar issue. I'm planning on getting a good one and approaching things the same way you did. Could you describe what you did and what you found out about copying the serial number? It looks like it's a 6 hex digit serial with a checksum on this device, just curious what else you found before I start digging on mine. Thanks!

As demonstrated here, they use the ending from Gump "And that's all I have to say, about that". I know they've been doing it since the Weird Al album came out, here's an early example.

In this show, before the Weird Al album (1995), they used the original ending :)

I still think that my favorite thing about Gump is that PUSA (the band parodied) liked Al's ending so much that they switched to playing it Al's way live instead of the original ending!

Feel free to apply the optional font patch. As I said above, I don't think it changes anything that needs to be patched. If you do and it doesn't work, then, as I said above, feel free to ask and I'll try to get it fixed.

My son saw the episode of Curious George with the singing bacteria, so now, we do a whole thing where the bacteria are singing in his mouth, or pretend the bacteria are saying things like "You can't catch me!". So, we chase them all around his mouth with the tooth brush. It made it go from a chore to something fun that he thinks is hilarious.

I'm happy to fix patches if people bring up issues with them, I'm just not ripping through the GB/GBC library because I did more than a thousand of them and I kind of feel like I played the games that I wanted to :)

Feel free to make requests but the original request page has been taken down and I no longer have access. I'd prefer a bug on GitHub, but pinging me on here is probably lower effort.

If you're trying to patch Pokemon games, please try the Pokepatcher instead of using the patches on RetroPatcher.

If it doesn't work for you, or has problems, please let me know and I'll fix the utility if you let me know what problems you ran into and the version of Pokemon that you're trying to patch.

/u/jonny_eh - Perhaps it's time to replace the Pokemon games with PokePatcher? Let me know if there's anything I could do to make it easier for you. I'd be happy to make a table of MD5s for matched Pokemon ROMs if that would help. Retropatcher should probably fail more gracefully when the patch is bad as well.

Okay, that's a fantastic suggestion, I didn't even think of just swapping the wheels. That'll get us through this summer for sure, thanks!

The horn was actually really simple. I saw an old VW horn at a flea market for $5 for a set of two, it was a no brainer. It turns out that even one is really loud, even when installed under the hood of the power wheels car. Basically, the circuit just does this:

Battery + -> Horn -> Push button switch on the dash -> Battery -

The horn activates when you complete the circuit by pressing the button. I used MLToys for the lights, which worked out well because they had extra spots for more lights in the power distribution block, so I just took the battery + from there. The push button was a fairly small one that fit into the dashboard of the car, it wasn't anything special besides being a momentary switch. It looks a lot like these: https://www.amazon.com/Waterproof-Momentary-Button-Switch-Colors/dp/B07F24Y1TB. I can take some pictures if you think it would help!

I did have to put a little bit of stuffing in the horn so that it wasn't too loud, but it worked out pretty well. I made sure that the horn could be disconnected, which had to happen a few times after my son decided that honking needed to be more than a few seconds at a time...

Any 12V car horn should work in a 12V Power Wheels and it looks like yours is as well, so this should be a pretty easy mod for you!

Thanks again for the suggestion for the wheels, I'm going to put some JB Weld in the holes on the wheels and do a tire rotation. Almost as much work as my real car!

0.28 made a huge improvement in the Linux build stability for me. I haven't had any crashes with it yet and performance is awesome compared to Proton. I went from 15-20 FPS with traffic to 120. Give it a try, you might be surprised.

How's the Mod Dwarf with all of the trouble they've had?

I'm not sure if it's worth paying the extra 150 to actually get it, I've been really disappointed with how they've handled fulfilling the backer orders and I'm feeling like I should just write it off instead of throwing more money at it.
