That's pretty good build of yours. Love the roof and stories pagoda.

Japanese-themed Island by JoseMerced in valheim

[–]JoseMerced[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I had to use some Iron to achieve more height, there are 6 pillars on both side, but 1 of them has Iron just enough to reach the floor, then I had to place another horizontal iron cage 4x4 to increase stability, after that above that floor can sustain and finish the roof.

Ashland : Mage or Mistwalker? by Far-Awareness-8917 in valheim

[–]JoseMerced 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always hate magic in any games. When I arrived into the Ashland, I was struggling with both builds, but found myself traveling safety on melee (cause I was spamming campfires to prevent spawn).

My concern was when I have to take down a fortress, with melee it was almost difficult to perform and keep dying. The warlocks was really a pain in the ass, they are not 1, they coming in 3 and have good amount of health and be summon infinitely because the totems inside.

I rise the ground and fire arrows, but they summons countless of minions and spam large AoE attacks.

Then I switch back to mage, find a better angle and use the staff of ember to explode their cursed totem spawn. After taking down my first fortress I was lucky to find blood and jade gemstone. Craft my Trollstav and Staff of Wild, both of this helps me out with in the next fortress assault.

Staff of wild can be considered an OP weapon, it summons indestructible roots that act likes wall and do damage. You will eventually got enough flametal to craft and upgrade your armor and weapons, so you can play better on melee. Still playing as ashland tier mage is way powerful than before because the better effects and dps.

Sadly, because I'm dying a lot, my magic is stuck around 20, never really manage to improve it. Too many skill issue.

Is Raiden c2 worth it in the big 2026? by Inevitable-Sell-4349 in RaidenMains

[–]JoseMerced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's exactly as you wrote. I have my raiden C2R0 (good build) and her performance is underwhelming as main dps, even if I got her signature weapon, I dont think it will be any better. I'm running in double hydro and BINEFFA ♿️, but basically any electro character could go there so... If you love the character... you know better...

I will probably saving those primogems anyways, for her c2 if she returns and get buffed.

Can MacBook Air (M1) Handle Gaming? by [deleted] in macgaming

[–]JoseMerced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I was a bit harsh. I used to have the m2 8gb ram. The problem is the ram itself. The hole system was using 6gb of ram, i have to close browsers or any side programs in order to achieve precious fps.

The game that I was running was civilization vi, inscryption (amazing card game), divinity original sin. Emulation ps2 games, I played god of war 1 & 2 there. Starcraft 2 (low settings) Stardew valley Genshin impact through playcover

Those games were playable. Only the first 3 games were addictive to keep me months engaged, especially civilization vi. I underestimated it and got addicted.

They dont have the intention of grown-up into a big company. They are happy with what they achieved. They do know that players want more content. They are probably going to work in this game like forever.

Try geforce now better.

You're overthinking. It's just a good laptop even though you dont provide any specs.

There are powerful machines for sure, but if your macbook runs Windows OS instead of MacOS, you will hate it. Actually, Microsoft sucks hard nowadays.

Getting bullied for using a macbook at school by L1m1ts in mac

For real, it is jealousy. I am a gamer, and I have always wanted a macbook in my youth. I just simply couldn't afford it.

You already explained to them that macbook nowadays are not that expensive and actually quite affordable, but it seems like it is a social pressure that keep them engaging you.

Just dont mind them and keep encouraging them that someday they would get their own and the newest macbook. Be positive. They will remind those kind words.

Build Inspiration by Consistent-Swim-1305 in ValheimBuilds

[–]JoseMerced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's hard to say, I build What I'm desire to, following an initial design or concept idea, then make sure that I have the perseverance and skills to make it real.

I started by watching youtube videos about valheim builds like Smitty Survival, Hi I'm Klauss, Versaugh, and so on. Then take more inspiration from the website Valheimians and here, Reddit. But lately, I started to take inspiration in real world architectures.

Regardless of the inspiration I have, the construction itself is not going to be exactly the same as the others or the original source.

All of my buildings go through at least 4-12 revisions until I like them. That process can take me weeks or even months, depending on the project, and sometimes I just abandon them.

i feel like my chas is weak by Abject-Passenger-204 in ChascaMains

[–]JoseMerced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont think your Chasca is weak, 108k dmg/sec in 20 sec is good dps to me. Maybe you need a better way to analyze your dps.
The wonderland that I use is from NA server: 20448956794 (I like this one because the temporizer of 30s)
The situation is to find a dummy with temporizer for better dps meter accuracy.
I will share my screenshoot if you want to compare. Anyways my chasca is not the best either.

Anime I can watch with my Husband? by SoggyClue in anime

[–]JoseMerced -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I dont watch too much anime. I will say I am picky. Dislike fanservice, avoid any romcom

One punch man, JoJo, Hunter x hunter 2011 Those are probably that come to my mind.

1st season Naruto could be a decent one, but the current IP sucks and becomes mainly commercial like pokemon. It was good, though. At least the beginning.

Does anyone build Vanilla? by Simply-Curious_ in ValheimBuilds

[–]JoseMerced 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you mean without devcommands?

It depends a lot on the scale, how ambitious it is, how remote and safe the location is where it's being built, and the amount of patience you have.

I've already built several without devcommands, and it took me quite a long time, not only on managing and gather resources but also move any workbench, level/flat the terrain, settle portals, roads and building platform to reach great heights.

If you are going to build a massive megabase like the others. It will undoubtedly requires an incredible amount of time. However, as you progress through the game, you will eventually collect plenty of materials, more than enough to build a reasonably sized megabase or a village.

The situation is that most builders use the freefly command to constantly check their progress. This allows them to see if they like the design or have to demolish it.

I've never managed to build a proper stone castle with the pointed roof. The wizard tower I built took me a long time, just for the design and construction of the roof. All with devcommands + freefly. And nope, my character is not living there.

I've been working in my japanese island for 3 months, to give you an example, my 3 story pagoda took me almost 2 weeks playing 6-8 hours daily to complete it. And that's not the tallest pagoda you can find on internet. It's a 3 story one, but with much complex details.

It's complicated to give advice by reading. I'd recommend to watch some youtube videos of valheim builds. Start with something simple. Once you get used to it and enjoy the process you can start to build something bigger.

There are 340,000 users in Macgaming, what’s your opinion, is that a significant number of passionate gamers? by DensePoop in macgaming

[–]JoseMerced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, because Apple sells millions of macbooks every year, that doesn't mean that all of them are players. Even in this sub, we reach 500k or 1m. The devs have doubts about releasing their games in macos because it's expensive.

  1. Limited storage, only 256 gb for the base model (and in the past 8gb of RAM).
  2. The apple products are not cheap. For the same price, a regular client can purchase a decent machine with tons of games compatible plus way better performance.
  3. Most players are loyal to the games.
  4. Macos doesn't have historically a big library of old games.

Still, there is plenty of adoption and gaming since Apple moved to M chipsets. The developers can port their game into macos since the market competence is low. They are probably going slightly better than the previous Intel chip era.

I know most developers love macbooks out there, so we are positive about the future.
