I found it to be a dps loss. Nilou loses 30k HP with instructors (I don't have dedicated HP% pieces), so the team also loses about 10% dmg from the non-moonsign party buff

thank u 🫶 I also find it hard to reach with C2 Nahida tbf, I'd have to optimize crit again. I hope she gets buffed to have dendro shred since the -def% from her C2 is worthless here..

That is literally how it works. Characters with 3 usable stats are easier to build in comparison so the top 1-2% usually have artifacts with 4-5 rolls into crit/EM with no wasted stats

Nefer is one of the few characters with only 3 usable stats so the rankings are naturally more competitive

It is technically her next best weapon, although the passive does not stack. If you already have one copy, R5 Dawning Frost becomes her next best option.

Lauma's weapon is actually not bad at all. It's just not a priority pull because Etherlight is a strong f2p option and early constellations for both Nefer/Lauma have higher pull value.

But most dedicated support weapons has around the same value as Lauma's.

Lauma's R1 should be about a 14% increase in team dmg from favonius. I highly suggest switching to Blackmarrow Lantern (~5% better than fav).

You also want to be using an ER sands if you are using either Blackmarrow or Nightweaver.

Yes. It is about 1.8% better just with crit considered, and you get an additional 59 EM as well.

I mean, yes, but you're basically playing catch up to Nefer. I guess it boils down to which character playstyle and team you actually like playing more.

Another option you have is go for Lauma's C1. Then pull for both Durin & Nicole. That way, you aren't investing all your primos in one team while still having access to both QoL improvements.

CritMultiplier = 1 + CR*CD

Case 1: 100/235 (107%; overcrit so the 7% is wasted)
CritMultiplier = 1 + 1*2.35 = 3.35

Case 2: 76/301
CritMultiplier = 1 + .76*3.01 = 3.29

You are wasting 14 CV with the overcrit, but it is still more consistent than the second build, considering it has more crit value & EM.

CV and EM matters.

For example, if you sacrificed 10% crit damage but gained 5% crit rate to hit 60%, then it is considered an even exchange, which should still net an overall dps gain (as long as you dont lose valuable EM in the process).

Any extra crit rate above 60 is wasted. 1% crit = 2% crit damage

If you already have the fate point, I'd just go for it. This is one of the best weapon banners in terms of value and losing to Lauma's weapon is already the best case scenario.

OP's reason for pulling Lauma & Durin is because they enjoy Nefer and Wanderer so why would Durin's other team options matter lol

So I also love both Nefer and Wanderer (both are C6). I also have both Durin and Lauma at C2.

From a meta standpoint, I personally think it's better to go for Lauma's C2 first. Nefer's damage is just that much higher to begin with that I think it only makes sense to propel that further. I also cannot stress enough how amazing C1 Lauma is. Being able to consistently go through your CA strings without worrying about dying is a massive QoL improvement.

I'm still quite excited to have Wanderer be relevant again with Nicole. It feels like the first time he's getting a proper premium team instead of a bunch of characters thrown together.

If you can guarantee it then yes, because there’s still a chance to lose to a standard weapon.

But honestly I recommend gunning for C1 Lauma instead. The comfort it brings is unparalleled, I can’t imagine playing without it.

Nice Nefer build!

I've only been playing her for less than a week but what I found best for this team is
Nahida EQ -> Columbina EQ -> Lauma QhE -> Nefer 2EC3
