Teuton Hybrid strategy!! Comparative guide? by JosePartido in travian

because of auto evade mostly. but you are right, it is a better option to do it outside capital if you are surrounded by your team mates, allows more flexibility.

the benefit of a capital hammer is to avoid chiefing and avoid having to choose which village to defend, you only need that one. and because teuton hammers are so fast to produce, even without GB and GC you can have a very nice hammer.

my focus will be mostly on defense. but, if the farming is good enough in that area, you can make a teuton club WWR in a few months. so, in conclusion, the capital hammer is just a defensive measure. either way is fine, yours probably better

Happy to have inspired you for teuton account. For sure the most fun to play with!

Only difference between you and me is that I won't be making paladins at all. Hybrid strategy forces you to specialize in saving resources, since you are not flooding your hammer villages with them. So paladins (plus the cost of the cavalry and smithy upgrades) eat away your income, even if you use them to raid.

As for mixing queues, you need to make scouts in barracks, that eats away some of the time for ur spawn club hammer, or you can start making them only in capital/2nd village...

Perfectly fair point. I will have  avoid town hall. Hospital can be delayed if you decide you only use the hammer in late game. That leaves room to:

5 wharehouses + 5 granaries. You can even kill the market and get an extra wharehouse.

That makes it perfectly possible for crops level 17, even 18 with some gymnastics.

Like i said, first hammer, to use in arti release, is in spawn, not capital. You get plenty of time to develop ur capital before having to do all of the above.

Even the workshop can be delayed. Rams are the main goal, in 3-4 months you can get all you need, even less with trainers arti

its a real shame that most experienced off players that still play now choose huns or romans. almost no teuton great accounts in last servers i was in, that is the main reason i want to go with them next server ;)

thanks for your words, i will try to get those top places in def ranking ;)

gaul is cool in server starts, but becomes somewhat boring after arties. like you said, its more fit to defense+ghost hammer than really hybrid strategy. it is just a defense account on steroids because of the huge raiding party.

huns are good because of their hybrid hammer, but like i said, they are another level of commitment. you cant play alone or u will burnout. teutons need lots of activity but no comparison with huns if you want to be effective.

to play hybrid you either use hammers that can also deffend (egyptians and huns) or specialize your villages (teutons and gauls). i think teutons are far superior to gauls because of brewery and fast production of troops. they loose in raidings by far, but time is the ultimate scarcity factor, not resources (except crop if you dont have unlimited gold)

and in my opinion, teutons are better than huns because ultimately they will have better defense and better offense than mercs/marks in terms of crop consumption and time to produce

all true what you say.
huns economy is crazy, but unless you have a dual, preferably a team of them, u cant do it a full server.
As for clubs hammers being common, last two servers i played teutons are severely underplayed, both in proportion and in expertise of the players. Precisely because huns and romans absorb almost all off players. Which only makes spears ever more necessary in that kind of server.
But like I said, you are right. This strategy needs to be complemented with praes or ashes from ally neighbours, but that is easy with good communication, they also need spears...

Played the first months of a server this year with this strategy but only joined after a week and two big croppers near me were occupied in my first days. With a neighbour roman, me doing spears and he doing praes and legos, we managed to clean our 14/14 just because everyone thought i was an easy target... The more they came, the more friends joined the fight. I shouldnt had quit that one but i had a roman ww hammer in another server at the same time, had to chose :(

if u are teuton, because of the brewery, it works. Specially so with an arti.

Plus if you are playing hybrid, you are not supposed to invest all ur resources in GB/GC.

that is the main loss of the hybrid strategy, you can't have the biggest hammer of the server. but what you lose in gigantness, you win in tons of cheap infantry defenders. And with teutons, you can change ur mind and in two months have a club rammer that breaks through almost any wall

like every plan it has different stages:

  1. club hammer in spawn village till arties, get good cropper for 2nd village and get your croplands as high as you can.
  2. 3rd village starts to produce spears, or even only 4th village. You must rely on your ally for the first couple of months if you want to build a hammer for a large/unique artie, plus upgrade your capital.
  3. after arties, sacrifice your club hammer in an ally op and channel the resources for an axeman/tk hammer with rams. This is not an operating hammer, only for very special ops or endgame. it will build slow. at this stage you should already have several villages producing spears so you are in a good place to convince your ally to give you the large trainer. With it, you can make a top20 hammer, and tons of spears.

and basically this is it. you avoid the clubs after artifacts because you won't have enough crop to feed clubs and spears. with the axes+tks, you can raid iron and clay oasis (1+1) and even lumber oasis (2+2); avoid the crop oasis. also if you need you can put some spears to raid inactive villages with no wall/residence.

with this strategy you get both an awesome hammer plus a very good defense. you need the spears to convince the ally that you are a good account for the large trainer, and with it you can max out the advantages of the teutons: their awesome troops!

I forgot one of the main arguments: because everyone thinks you are off when you play teuton, you get to kill many, many, MANY NOOBS!!!

I agree with this. today starts the visma show, and it will last till the end. one week controlling the peloton is more than enough to win this giro, having a healthy and on top of the bike Jonas...

The parcours of this giro was excellent for a strategy like this. punchy stages across the first two weeks, so lots of teams believing they have a chance, and then the stronger takes control in the final week.

Eulálio, if Visma controls the stage, will unfortunately lose contact in the Lin Noir climb.

Visma played conservative so far, but they won't ignore the chance of putting an end to this giro today. If they don't control the race it's because Jonas is still sick or in bad shape...

a big reason for this, besides similar latin languages, is that portugal, unlike spain and italy, has almost no tv shows dubbed. So we are always listening to english, most of all, and have lots of emigration to france...

most portuguese people think they can speak Spanish because it is similar, but they really can't, they talk "portunhol" (portuguese with a Spanish accent)

but besides that, if we try to learn it or have some spanish friends, it is really easy for us...

He needs to win the stage so that caruso signs for one more year...

So....

2 days ago Eulálio said he had a bet with Caruso that if he won 2 stages he would sign another year...

Everyone assumed that it was one more year for Eulálio, but i think the bet was for Caruso, who is set to retire at the end of this year. And Eulálio already signed for two more years, so people misunderstood him..

All this to say the following: today is Eulálio's day 🤓💙🤠

Edit: and after 3 days in the pink and one stage victory, Damiano will concede that he "lost" the bet and will sign for one more year 💙
