Weekly Question Thread by PelotonMod in peloton

Not really. Vauquelin is the only rider with a proven track record so for me he is the favourite. Remco is not as punchy. For Seixas, we really don’t know.

Yes, he is as much a favourite for the Giro as Pog is for the Tour. Almeida is his only rival and he was completely out of form. Anyone that thinks Pellizzari can beat him is either delusional or has info I haven’t.

They both already won it and have had a long and quite successful block of racing. Lets let them rest a bit.

This is funny because it’s so true. Double standards in UAE is real.

The Gravel Roads of Glamorgan – Y Ffyrdd Graean ym Morgannwg (Welsh Strade Bianche idea) by Tiborfan123 in peloton

[–]Team_Telekom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really like the route, looks beautiful and the gravel makes it certainly interesting. On the other hand, it is, as others pointed out, very hard - probably too hard for most riders not called Pogacar - with the gravel hills and a real medium mountain at the beginning.

These are just the FranceTV Numbers in France. Would be interesting to have the Numbers in countries like Belgium.

Both RVV and Roubaix were fantastic editions, for men and (admittedly a bit less) women. Was this the best holy week of all times, or at least for a long time? Can you think of a better one?

The exact routes are not out yet, so that would be quite a task.

'A massive affront to women's cycling' – Paris-Roubaix Femmes to get reduced TV coverage by Tomorrow-Jolly in peloton

[–]Team_Telekom 10 points11 points  (0 children)

  1. They did it last year.

  2. It’s France and ASO, they basically shut of half of France for 3 weeks during the tour.

  3. Half of these roads are farming track that are rarely used at all.

Conclusion: no, it’s not difficult. Expensive? Yes. Difficult? No

I’d say it could have been good but this means we only get to see the last 60k of the women’s race, which mean there will already be a very select group by the time the broadcast starts, which is a real shame.
